The fact that lights and accessories work doesn't mean much, as they can still operate when the battery is too low to engage and spin the starter. Have you tried jump starting the vehicle? Your problem could be a low/bad battery or a bad starter . . .

My 2005 Buick Rendezvous Ultra is intermittently starting. I've replaced the fuel pump already. It cranks over but won't start. This is same thing before fuel pump was replaced. What else could it be?

Anti theft could be malfunctioning... listen for the clicking of the fuel injectors when you put the ignition into pre start position.. then look at the dash for anti thief not turning off... no ignition injector clicking or no fuel pump whirring could be a fuse in the dash or under the hood.

well it has entered anti-theft mode the most likely problem is the wires to the ignition key switch are broken look for a orange cord at base of column these are your theft wires with a ohm meter test for a open circuit with key in ignition if so broken wires.

Engine turns but does not start, seems like no spark to cylinders.

Your chipped key is not making a good connection to your factory installed anti-theft device. Lightly grease both sides of car key with electric bulb grease and work it into key ignition. Over time the key wears down, contacts in ignition switch become worn and corroded. Grease makes better contact...chipped key is able to send signal to factory anti-theft device which unlocks all systems required to start you engine. Make sure the key you are using is a chipped key for your car; not a un-chipped cut key from the key cutting machine. It will work on locks, but only a chipped key for your car will deactivate your anti-thief and you get power to your engine and systems to get it started.

94 buick lesabre security light flashing

Ok..
Your vehicle is equipaded with Factory Anti Theft System.
Called Pass key II . If the mechanic found the Code
Pass key error....
Is there a few test to Do. to know exactly the problem.

1--- check if the Old and New key Are equipaded with a Little thing (Chip or Ressistence) in the center of the key.
If not you need a key with the chip. and the correct Ohms.

2. If you just replace the battery,
Full charge the battery Attemp to start the vehicle and leave the key in run position for exactly 11 Minutes, Them turn the key to off position for 30 seconds and try to start, if the vehicle start . you did the prosses to program the key.

If the vehicle not start.
Some times this procedure will require Up to 3 times to setup.
Or more with intervals of 30 minutes,, But if not start.
Remove the lower cover of the steering column. and the the Connector orange with 2 white wires shielded with a orange cover.
NOTE.. Be sure to not Confuse with the Yellow wires and connector, They are for the AIR BAG. Dont use a Convencinal Test light on any of the Mentionated wires....

After you find the wire and saw everything ok.

3-- You will need to remove the Ignition Lock cylinder.
The ignition lock cylinder is use 2 white wires shielded with orange cover, On 90% of the cases one of the wires come broken. and the ECM loss the comunication with the Chip incrusted in the key..

97 skylark cranks but won't start

I had a problem with no start on 97 skylark. The anti theft light would come on. I would have to leave the key in the on position, then maybe it would think the key was the right key and I wasn't a thief. Column lock cylinder was changed as well as ignition switch (didn't solve the problem). Turned out to be a part in the instrument cluster. I'm in AZ and plastic parts crumble after a few years.
