1 Answer

Hi, I have a Kia Sorento model year 2006 (EX). This car has a random problem related in to electricity. This problem does not occur in the winter, I live in Finland. Central locking does not work. Meters are spinning when car starts . air conditioning is loud (hard noise) , the clock is out of the game and the radio does not work. Does anyone else have the same kinds of problems

Its a kia and these vehicles do suffer from electrical problems as you describe although less here in spain but immobilisor faults are common and if it will not start due to immobilisor then lock vehicle and leave for half hour or so and then it will go again ---why--- ????

2011 kia sorento won't start in cold

Check the engine temperature sensor. There should be two of them, one that reports it inside of the car and one that reports it to the ECU. The one that reports it to the ECU has likely failed and needs to be replaced.

What would cause the air conditioner to occasionally fail in my 06 kia sorento?

It could be something electrical, or low freon, or a restriction in the system, or a faulty blend door under the dash.
A mechanic would check the freon charge and look at the electrical circuits when it is not working.

How do I repair the P1121, TPS on a Kia 2004 Sorento?

The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) for Sorento & Sedona models. Some Sorento & Sedona vehicles may exhibit diagnostic trouble codes P0121 and/or P1121.
