You don't have daytime running lights but you do have automatic light control. The design engineers reasoned that you would not need fog lights unless you were running with headlights on under foggy conditions so these functions are controlled by logic and can't be separated without rewiring

I tried to disable DRL but when i did my low beams dont work, any ideas?

You are wasting your time. This system is automatically controlled by the Daytome Running Lamp module. The system requires the daytime running lamp relay to work in order for the low beam headlamps to work. Any attemps to "disable" the daytime running lamps will also disable the low beam headlamps. I think what you are having problems understanding is that your headlamp switch does not actually turn the lights on. The switch only provides power so the DRL module can operate....it doesn't send power directly to the lamps. The power to the lamps is provided by the relay, which is operated by the DRL module. Unless you want to completely "re-engineer" the ENTIRE headlamp system, you are not going to get it to work the way you are wanting it to.

You will need to get that one headlamp working,The daytime running light module alread recieves the signal that the light are off.And the brake switch signal is not being pick up by the daytime running light module.

93 Jeep Loredos didn't have daytime running lights from the factory. It has to be an after market set up so I would trace wires to power and ground. It probably has a connection to the headlight switch wires through some sort of solenoid.

How do you change the daytime running lights on a 2008 Chevy Tahoe LTZ? Is there a way to take the whole lighting fixture out or no?

daytime running lights work through a relay module that change the power to the high beam lights which act as the day time running lights.why would you want to remove this system if you could as it doesn`t affect anything other than this system.plus if your in Canada you can get a ticket for them not working as this is a safety related system.

We have a 2006 torrent that the daytime running lights do not work when gear set to "drive".The lights are set to auto. What is the problem

did this get resolved?
I'm having the same issues.
I'm unable to drive if daytime running lights is set to auto. It'll run after starting it on auto DRL, however when shift gear to drive and giving it some gas, it powers down the entire vehicle.
I have to turn light switch to on position in order to drive the vehicle at all. ???????????????
