The next thing would be to test the output of the speed sensor, if there is not a signal from sensor then you could have a problem in transmission or more likely with the speedometer itself. There will be a code set in the Computer for an inoperative speed sensor or signal from the speed sensor. You can go to Autozone to get the computer checked with a code reader for free. If code P0500 is set then diagnose this code first.
