Question about Chrysler PT Cruiser

1 Answer

I have a 2001 PT Cruiser- the dash cracked in a small place from the defrost vent in the middle of the dash. now it has several veins running across the dash. I have tried to find a replacement but can only find dash kits. I don't need a kit. I need my dash.

Start looking on salvage yard sites such as car-parts.com that has connections to salvage yards all over the country. You can also look to see if there is a pick an pull in your area.where you can go and pull the part for a cheaper price from a wrecked vehicle on their lot. Theres also ebay and craigslist for your area as well to check with.

One of two things. Most likely is that your heater core is somewhat plugged up or your thermostat is stuck open.

Location of Alarm box on 2002 Chrysler PT cruiser

Good luck if you are talking about LoJack installed at the dealer... there are several places where it could be installed and they don't tell you which location they chose unless you ask. I noticed the tip of a self-tapping screw inside one of my air vents (driver side, leftmost vent) and deduced correctly that was where mine had been mounted. You can also just trace the wiring for the disable button. The system is meant to be quickly installed, so look in the obvious places. Mine was about the size of a deck of cards.

Turn ur car on defrost and check to c if fan is running. It should kick on on defrost. If it does not try checking fan or relay or your fuse. If of does and still gets hot maybe a good coolant flush will work.

did you check the fluid level by removing the rad. cap? Radiator should be full to top. If Chryslers are low on coolant, the heater will not blow warm air.

i believe the window swith is between the two vents....you have to carefully pry that off first then you will have to disconnect the window switch from the harness.....then pull all they climate control knobs off and gently pull all around the trim and you should have it off.
