How can I adjust the sunroof on a 97 cavalier so that the passenger side will shut all the way

There isn't an adjustment. The regulator for the sunroof is broken. There are plastic cable guides at the corners. One is broken and the cable came off tract.

Drivers side door wont stay shut in my 97 jetta

lube the latch up...
go to the passengers side and examine the latch... you could use a screwdriver and OPEN the latch on the drivers' door by pulling the door handle and prying the latch to the open possition... and try to close it ... repeate.

I cannot close driver side door on my 97 jeep grand cherokee, drivers side is in locked position, door will not close

Just a suggestion as I have seen this before--with door open pull up on outside handle and in door there is a curved latch that can be pulled open with a screwdriver---the hook is likely closed and with opening pressure on the outside handle you should be able to snap it open so the door will close properly---often happens if someone snaps it by accident closed (the hook latch).

My door handle wont open my door on the drivers side. I have to roll down my window to open the door from the outside latch. Is it repairable, or do I have to replace any parts?

I have shaved door handles on a 2000 chevy silverado and the drivers side door just recently stopped opening it seems like its completely locked out and the door is closed so i cannot get to the bolts of the latch assembly when i hit the unlock button it unlocks half way and when you go to open the door it relocks itself even if you manually try to unlock the door and hold the lock forward it still wont open

Trunk latch wont hold shut on my 02 cavalier

Make sure it is not binding/sticking where you pull the release cable.

Drench the entire works in WD-40. Push it back and forth until it moves with no resistance.

Make sure the part that hooks onto the latch hasn't come loose enough to not slide over when it makes contact.

If that doesn't work, take the whole thing off. You'll have to anyway to replace it. Chances are with it disassembled you'll see what's wrong.

Front drivers side door

Do you have one of the electronic keys? If so, It could have gotten a signal somewhere accidentally that locked the door. It happened to me, however, it locked all my doors. I drove to a dealership and the repairman took my keys through the window and got down close to the lock and started pushing buttons on the control. He finally got the right "clicks"that he needed and opened the door. He said it happens a lot. he didn't charge me anything. Just One thought!
