Air filter replacement

I'm sure I'll have no problem replacing the air filter on my 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder, if I can find it. My purchase was used, and it didn't come with the manual :-(. I purchased a filter, and would like to replace it before the manual I ordered arrives. Does anyone have a diagram they can share or can tell me where the filter is?

I located the air filter on my 2001 MR2 and managed to loosen the cap, but can't seem to get it moved away far enough so I can get to the filter. Are there any connections that need to be disconnected first. Appreciate any help or suggestions.

Its a small Black box on the left side... Everything on the new models are clipons... I did it few days ago and took me 5 mins to do the whole thing.. You will need to remove the air tube first.. again its clip on so should not be a prob...
try to google it... thats what I did... Hope this helps!!!

It's in the back left part of the engine. right behind the battery. now getting everything off is more of a pain than anything. i would suggest a mechanic because you can get a filter for $10-$20 but there is some labor involved in getting to it. i think you can probbaly get a changed for $20-$25 in labor.

check the fuse for the cruise control from the driver side located on the left side of the dashborad. Make sure the fuse is not blown out.
If it bad, change it out but make sure it is the same rated fuse.

Mr2 transmission

use only OEM Toyota trans fluid. If there is one lesson I learned with my MR2, its that Toyotas own trans fluid is the best. Yes, its a few dollars more, use it anyway.

As for your top, there is a product called Amazing Roll off. Its for boat canvases and its simply the best thing i've ever used. try it, you wont be disappointed.

MR2 after 2 mins of starting the smt light comes on.

it sounds like the clutch actuator is worn out.
The clutch actuator has 2 parts:
1. the clutch master cylinder
2. the clutch slave cylinder.

Try to replace the slave cylinder first, and if it is still not solving the problem, then try to replace the clutch master cylinder
