I can't open the hood of my 2003 Pontiac Aztek.

The release is under there - get a flashlight and look for a metal piece sticking into the hood. It should move either left, right, forward, or back to release from the hood. You really need to get down below the hood to find it.

Mazda MPV minivan drove about a mile andsmoke started rolling out from under hood. I went under car and it looks like a plastic container has 3 holes in it. What could this be? What's that tank?

Coolant Expansion Tank or Windshield Fluid Container

Wouldn't that be something your familiar with,
or you never check things under the hood?

How do I open the hood?

Without a specific model listed...
1. Pull the hood release lever which is typically located on the driver's side floorboard, left of the brake pedal. To the left of where your left foot would rest in the car.2. You will see the hood "release" but still have another latch.3. Peak in under the middle of the hood and you will see another lever under the hood (at the front of the car). 4. Reach in and press that lever up or to it's side. You may have to push the hood down a little bit to allow it to release.
So, you will have 2 levers you are activating to open the hood. The one from the driver's seat and the one from the front of the car.

How do you open a 1961 impala hood

It's been a long time...but there is a lever under the front grill that you slide to the right, it pops the hood, then there is another that is in the gap between the hood and the front of the car (a 'safety') that you pull up while lifting the hood.

My alarm keeps going off. Last year I had the hood latch repaired. And it worked for 1 yr, 1 mth. I would rather disarm the alarm than pay another $200 for another hood latch. Where is the fuse that...

I've had same problem. Dealer refused to replace hood latch under their extended warranty despite the Toyota Bulletin on the problem. I just DISCONNECTED the hood latch sensor. To get to the hood latch get under the plastic covering over the hood latch by removing the plastic retaining buttons attaching the cover to the frame. Do this by using a sharp edge to pull up the center piece of the retaining buttons, which then lets the outer button pop out. After you get under the plastic cover find the wire coming out of the latch assembly (not the latch release cable you used to open the hood). The sensor wire couples with other wires for the alarm right there. Just disconnect it. The dealer said I may not be able to lock by car as a result of disconnecting the hood latch sensor. But that hasn't happened, and the alarm hasn't gone off since.

Wipers not wiping. Fuse okay. Manual says there's also a circuit breaker somewhere, but can't find it. 2006 Express van 2500. Maybe the motor's bad too. Know an easy way to test it? Thanks...

for circuit breaker,look under the hood in main fuse box,it will be a black box.marked main fuse and relays. usually located on the driverside under the hood,but some are on the passengers side under the hood on the fenderwell. thank you for choosing fixya.com {if not a fuse} suggest a bad wiper motor,or a bad switch on the steering column}
