When cold runs good, warmed up loses power and cant go over 50-55 m.p.h, it's not the cataletic con.

Transmission slipping can do this,or you can be looking at a distributor failing internally,

This is because the belt may be worn out or may not be tighten properly. The belt may be lose so that the AC stole all the power from the car. Could be several things.
Is the check engine light on ?
Have you checked fuel pressure cold and hot ?

Smells hot, acts like its about to lose power like check engine like blinks on and off


possibly blocked exhaust or cataletic convertor this causes check engine light to flash as it could be going into cataletic convertor protection mode.
have you got any codes stored for fuel trim or O2 sensor codes?
is cooling system ok?
sounds like its going into overheating protection mode

YOU COULD BE RITE, ARE IT CAN BE MAP,OR AIR TEMPERTURE SENSOR OR OXYGEN SENSOR . IS THE CHECK ENGINE LITE COMING ON IF IT'S ONE OF THESE OR CATLYTIC CON. IT SHOULD BE THROWING CODE. INJECTOR'S MAYBE . IF ENGINE LITE ON PULL CODE'S FIRST.IDLE'S GOOD AFTER WARM?
