Want to know where the crank sensor is located on a 2002 F-550 Super duty 7.3 Diesel

The sensor will most likely be facing the truck, it is on the left side towards the front of the engine behind the a/c compressor. You would have to remove the compressor to gain access to the sensor. It definetly is a hell of a sensor to remove when you have to take the a/c compressor of. The system will leak all the remaining freon inside and you will have to replace the system itself it you damage it with dust or debree that gets inside the compressor or compressor hoses.

Crankshaft Position Sensor: Front of the engine, above the crankshaft damper. Front of the engine, passenger side of the crankshaft pulley.

F250 diesel 2001 running then engine stalls after 30 minutes

2002 f250 7.3 diesel will turn but it wont start. I put starting fuel in it. It almost starts and it just shuts off. I put new fuel pump in.


does your tach move why you are cranking. Most likely its the crank sensor. a known problem with 7.3l its located on front cover behind damper.easy to replace

Ford f350 diesel truck 30 amp fuse keeps blowing.

2002 f350 wont start


i had to replace my oil pressure regulator sensor it contols the oil pressure required to have the injectors open and spit fuel, if you replaced it and still no start replace the the cam position sensor
