Question about Geo Prizm
Check the simple things first:
1) Clutch switch. This keeps the car from starting (and lurching forward) if the clutch isn't pressed. This is a wear item and common failure.
2) Ignition switch. Another common failure, especially if you have 5 pounds of keys/bling on your key ring. Lighten the load or you'll be buying an ignition switch every few years.
3) Battery connections. check the battery terminals for tight connections and no corrosion. Follow positive terminal to starter and check the same. Follow Neg. to ground and check same.
4) take it to a trusted independent shop and get it fixed now. Cheaper than a tow bill or getting fired for missing work.
