You failed to mention what year, model or engine...so it is hard to tell you how much 'oild' goes in the system, but you car hardly go wrong with around 5-6 ozs...

Unless you are changing a new compressor you should not have to add any oil in there. Do not put oil since the compressor already has enough oil in it. If you put oil in there and it already has oil, the AC system will not function properly because it has too much oil. How much oil to put in there is determined how much is already in there.

have a compression test done to confirm your suspicions. If the compression is low on some but better on others it may be valves . If the compression doesn't alter check the cam shaft is turning ( broken timing belt)

What size battery will I need for a 1990 Chevy Caprice? Also, does it make a difference in the oil or oil filter I put in it?

Hi there. My name is Matt and I hope to be able to assist you with your inquirey today.

A factory reccomendation for cold cranking amps differs a little from one car to another due to different options, as far as extra electronics and such. Just say you had a base model caprice with a 305 or 350, the minimum CCA you would want in about 750, and about 900 or better regular cranking amps. I prefer a few more CCA's than some just simply, I might add some electronics later. So I got for a minimum 850 CCA. As far as oil goes. All oils are not created equally. Depending the mileage of the car, you might want to think about a high mileage oil. Castrol and Valvoline have great oils for high mileage vehicles. As far as oild specs, 10W30 is a good all weather oil, and stick with you AC Delco filter. It's Cheap and Reliable.

Warning light says Low Refrigerent-AC/Off. I tried to recharge the system but the Compressor won't engage, How do I get the Compressor to come on so as I can recharge the system. Is it a pressure swithch...

in order to recharge the ac you first must clear the trouble code for the ac off warning. when you get this warning the computer shuts down the compressor to keep it from running without the lubricant that is in the freon. clear the trouble code and the compressor will run and you can recharge the ac.

Where is the oild filter for a 99 honda accord lx

On the back side of the engine. If you stand on the side of the car (either side will do) and look between the back of the engine and the firewall you'll see it.
