You need regular hand tools especially a socket big enough to remove the CV axle nut and possibly a tool to separate the ball joint and outer tierod if necessary.

no supposed to idle higher than that , usually even less .

What is causing the whining noise in my 2005 ford five hundred all wheel drive


Whining or humming noise come lots of time from wheel bearing when you go straith and move the stering from side to side the noise is less noisy if so its 1 or 2 wheel bearing that need to de replace

I have a 2006 AWD ford five hundred - has a thumping feel whenapplying the brakes - replaced both front wheel hubs - both front rotors and brake pads - still have a thump that co-insides with the spee


if you have mis-matched tires on your car fix that FIRST.

then re-analyze your problems then and only then.

if you have already taken care of this then you say a thumping and not a pulsating feel ???

You'll need the electrical wiring diagram for that. You can also buy a universal harness where you bought your sterio with the adapter kit.

What needs to be done to remove & repack wheel bearings? Left front is starting to make noise


Almost all newer cars the front wheel bearings are a sealed unit. There isn't a way to remove and repack like the old style bearings. More than likely if it gets too bad, you will need to replace the hub assembly.

2006 Ford Five Hundred -- Where's the fuel filter?


right rear just in front of wheel. push clips back and remove old filter. apply new filter insuring flow is correct direction by arrow on filter press the clips back in place and you are ready. check to see if it is leaking.
