The two reservoirs on the fire wall are for the brakes and clutch. Your power steering pump is mounted to the front of the engine at the top. there should be a belt on the pulley that turns when the engine is running. Make sure that belt is intact. The reservoir for the power steering is in the corner right in front of the power steering, should be on a bracket that is bolted to the inner fender well.

Definately not into the brake system , the power sterring cap is usually further forward in the engine bay, not on the fire wall. usually black plastic and it will be marked

2005 chevy impala, the steering whel is hard to turn at low speeds, had pump and pullies replaced, was told it is not the rack and pinion or the steering box. What else could it be?

My guess would be possibly the power steering belt. Make sure it's tensioned properly and not worn. Since the problem only happens at low speed, it sounds like the system is losing proper fluid pressure when the engine slows down. Check the system for any fluid leaks as well.

Skipping steering, and Im broke

I do not believe you can drive it with the steering pump "disabled". The only way I can think of to disable it would be to remove the belt from the pump. I don't believe what you were told. If you are mechanically inclined, the pump is not too hard to replace, but have you tried bleeding it? If it was dry, there is probably air trapped in it, that would make it jump. But why was it dry?

When I turn the wheel it wont turn . It is hard to

Something possibly has gone wrong with the power steering system. Make sure the belt is in place and not too loose. Also, check to make sure the power steering reservoir is full of fluid.

1993 honda del sol horn does not work. Horn

Im in the same boat with my 99 civic si. it is wiring in the steering wheel that is causing your horn to not work. it is a lot of work to replace the wire in the steering wheel, so if you want a horn, my suggestion is to wire the horn to a aftermarket switch. it is a cheap and easy solution and will get the job done.

Steering wheel extremely hard to turn

Replace the power steering pump should fix it. Have seen both failed pump and steering racks cause this problem.

Steering is stiff

the problem could be contamination in ps fluid.i would flush the system and replace fluid first .if that does not solve the pronlem you most likely need power steering pump. the steerjng box is very unlikely.

2004 f350 power steering problem. when the truck is in gear with your foot on the brake you cant turn the wheels. the power steering pump has been replaced and the fluid changed with no result.

2006 f350 crew 4x4. Replaced p/s pump, booster, put gauges to check pressure? Fluid clean, lifted in air to check steering linkage and turning without load. Still baffled ! I work at a Ford dealer and mechanics said its normal. Thats BS! I replaced the p/s pump so im guessing the screen was new with the pump. I will check for the hell of it. I have a feeling it is suspension under load. The symptom on this truck is not turning when brake applied. Also hard turning when vehicle is on and in park, wont turn.
