With the condition of the screws you should check to make sure there is a good connection to the lower bulbs for both power and ground.

1992 corona engine light, battery light and taillight lights on dash stay on while driving, anyone know why?

The battery light would mean the alternator is not charging the battery, the engine light is either a check engine light for the computer or low oil pressure (red) and the tail lamp warning is for a bulb not working.

2006 Volvo XC90 AWD V8 with H7 halogen headlights always displays 'headlight bulb failure' warning even though my headlights are both working fine. How do I fix this?

Try to check the bulb on the light unit the fault is given, checking the connector,or even renewing the bulb, probably the resistance of the bulb is down in bright but can not noticed. It had happened to a customer of mine on a BMW 528i ,even the lights were working fine,I renewed the faulty stated by the vehicle ECU and then the warning on the dash gone.

Battery warning light is coming on for no apparent reason. I just replaced the oil pressure sending unit and then reconnected the neg cable and now warning light stays on.

Try removing either battery cable for about 15 mins. that should reset the computer in car and make battery light go off, if that dont work check battery cables to make sure they are tight. Billy Wyatt

How to replace stop light?

Tail Lights
The procedure for removing and installing turn signal light bulbs is the same as that for brake light and taillight bulbs. Only the procedure for brake light and taillight bulbs is described here.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Disconnect the battery.
  3. Switch off all electrical connectors.
  4. Turn off ignition.
  5. Remove the rear light, as follows:
  6. Remove the rear striker mount cover.
  7. Reach behind the respective quarter panel trim and unscrew the knurled nut. Make sure the washer and spacer do not fall down.

Turn the bulb holder in the direction shown

    1. Remove the bulb from holder.

    To install:

    1. Install the bulb in the reverse order of removal. When installing, make sure bulb holder engages in housing by turning in opposite direction.
    2. Install the rear light, as follows:
    3. Connect the electrical connector.
    4. Insert the rear light housing into the body opening.
    5. Insert the retaining bolt into the body opening.
    6. Insert the rear light into the cutout.

I have a 1996 jeep grand cherokee and the brake lights won't come on. The taillights work fine. I have switched the stop switch and checked the fuse for the stop switch. What else should I try? On a side...

If your brake light goes out when your headlights are on here is your fix:
    1. remove taillight assembly (two screws hold it in place
    2. Remove light bulb and socket from assembly (this will be the top bulb) put it to the side
    3. Inside this hole on the rim you will see three silver metal contacts, two side by side and one by itself.
    4. With a small screwdriver or a small pointed tool, gently pry up the contact which is by itself, all you are wanting to do is bend it upwards slightly.
Over the course of time this conact succumbs to the heat of the bulb and settles into the plastic. All you are doing now is making a better contact between the metal and the bulb.
This will fix your problem, it did mine and will save $200+ from a dealer.
    GOOD FIXIN!

    Brake light bulb replacement.

Remove panel in trunk (round one on each side) reach inside unscrew toggle bolt then remove the entire taillight assembly, may have to push from inside. When you have the taillight assembly out you will see where the bulb is on the back of the assembly, remove and replace with new bulb. Put taillight assembly back in, replace toggle bolt make sure it is tight and replace panel. It is a pain the first time but I have done this 3 or 4 times it gets easier.

Replacement of rear outside tail light assembly

If you're asking how do you change a taillight bulb, then follow this procedure:

    Open the trunk lid.

Disconnect the connectors from the taillights (taillight bulb connectors are visible by looking inside the trunk at the back of the tail lamps.) There may be an interior trunk trim panel that you have to take off but in most cases its just a series of thumb screws that hold them in.

    Brake Lights/Taillights: 21/5 W

Rear Turn Signal Light: 21 W

    Back-up Light: 21 W

Rear Side Marker Light: 5 W

Turn the bulb sockets 45 º counterclockwise to remove the bulbs.

If you're removing the taillamps with the bumper off there are 3 nuts and screws that hold the taillight to the rear panel of the car that have to come off from the inside of the trunk.
Remove the nuts and screws, then remove the taillight.

    hope that answers your question
