How to replace temperature sensor

There are 4 or more. Which do you want to replace? The coolant temp sensor for the dash? The coolant temp sensor for the ECU? The temp sensor for the outside temp reading? The temp sensor for the fans to turn on? Temp sensor for the AC?

AC recirculation is not working (outside temp is -37 degree centiigrade).

there is a damper that opens and closes to allow air to recirculate or come from outside. Find out where that is and check it out.

2003 Saturn L300 AC reads OC EXT and blows ambient air.

I'm going to say the outside temp sensor is damaged or disconnected.
The body computer does not know what the outside temp is so the system is disabled. The sensor is probably in the grille area or behind the bumper cover.

Ambient temp sensor on chevy impala is reading -40

If you replaced the right sensor, there must be a problem in the wiring to the computer.
You did reset the computer - hit ac and recirculate buttons at the same time ??

98 BUICK REGAL GS AC compressor will not come on. It has the climate control unit. All the lights and fans work and there is enought freon. The display reads -38 degrees for the outside temp. Would this...

If the outside temp.sensor is reading -38 degrees then this is what is causing the compressor not to come on.You need to check the wiring to the outside temp.sensor and the sensor.Make sure it is connected. It is located on the front grill area.Between the grill and the bumper cover.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Hi there, You need to change the thermostat on your temperature guage. It needs to be changed depending on the climate in your region be it temperate or tropical

Air conditioner wont work if outside temp is over 70 97 chev pick-up it works great in temps remain cool outside any help would be helpfull.

Sounds like you are low on freon and as it gets hotter outside your AC system can't keep up. Check into getting the system charged and that should take care of it for you. Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

COULD BE A FEW DIFFERENT THINGS. HAVE YOU TRIED TO SWAP THE A/C RELAY FOR ANOTHER? IT COULD BE A BAD ACCUMULATOR SWITCH OR A CLOGGED ORIFICE TUBE, OR A DEFECTIVE LOW PRESSURE CUT-OFF SWITCH. TOO MANY TO LIST. TRY THE RELAY AND LET ME KNOW. HOPE THIS HELPS. BEST OF LUCK. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA AND HONEST RATING IN ADVANCE.
