I have a suzuki alto 1.1 2005 auto the heater in the car has stopped blowing out hot air only cold now.

welcome to USA< forum the country with ZERO ALTOS,
why ask us??????? (means no books , nor parts)
so go to GENERIC mode just for you.....

sure this is so easy,,,, (laws of physics and heat ex-changers 101)
so the blower works, but no heat
well that takes 2 of 3 things,
1: blows, ok check ok.
2: engine must get hot. ,(not stated, 180f or more is normal) is it.?
3: dampers on the HVAC box must work,

dampers are not easy check on newer cars. old was simple cables.

to fix this, go to your suzuki, and buy the service manual
read that HVAC chapter, on dampers if engine is hot. (normal)
its all there, I PROMISE YOU, but only in YOUR country

here is ours
just for fun,

How can you tell when catalytic converter is bad engine light was on but i checked my fuses then service engine light went off it also rattels when engine is hot

Hello Jamal, I had a catalytic converter go bad. I took it to a muffler shop. They put the car on a hoist while engine was running and used a cutting torch to blow a small hole before and after the converter to compare back pressures. My converter was plugged up .

Suzuki K6a engine. Turns over but won't start

we dont have this engine in USA< (this forum is USA forum.....)
what year, what car? ?? what country?
the k6a fits many cars, and many years and can be carb or EFI fueled.

the K6a line up, do tell what you are driving....please.
now to answer in GENERIC Mr. Otto Cycle mode. (gas engines)
no spark, check spark.
never tuned up, ever.
low compression, find timing chain slipped or worse.
twin cam 3 cylinder.
with chain drive. if chain is/was quiet, the cam timing should be good. as is compression over 150psi.
if compression is good, and spark good, x3
then it will run on test fuel, does it?
of not clogged melted CAT?

My cadeletic converteron my 1996 mercury grand marquis is getting red hot also had a miss fire on the number 2 and 5 so paid a mechanic to put spark plugs and wires , i got the car back from him now i...

What you should try first is to clear the computer either with the Code scanner or by disconnecting the Negative cable for 10 minutes. What sometimes happens is when a sparkplug wire or sensor is disconnected during service, it is recorded as an Error Code.

The red hot converter is usually burning gas that did not burn in the cylinders. This can be dangerous, but if it is "catching up" on the fuel accumulated from the original problem, it will return to normal if not misfiring.

Buick running hot and cutting off.cools and runs good until it cuts off again. get red hot underneath the car

may want to have the convertor back pressure tested. sounds as if the honey comb in the convertor is breaking apart and has clogged it up.

Engine bucks has no power and exhaust y-pipe gets red hot.

The exhaust pipes are getting red hot, check your catalytic convertors. It sounds as if they are clogged.

I have spark and fuel going to the fuel rail but car wont start. It ran good a week ago then I started it drove about ten feet and it slowly died popped the hood and the catalytic converter was glowing red...

check your convertor to make sure it isnt clogged internally the cone in the convertor on that models tends to either cover over with age or melt and not allowing exhaust gas release through the exhaust system which in turn will keep compression in the cylinder head not allowing the engine to fire and run it's like putting a HUGE cork in each exhaust port

02 sensor where does it go can't seem to find it in the engine

O2 sensor is right after your exhaust catalytic convertor. Open the hood of your car and look right infront of the engine. O2 sensors are not on the engine. They are on the pipe that comes out of the front of the engine. They are right within your reach. It has pig tail wire. Looks like a cylinder. There are two of them. One before catalytic convertor and one right after catalytic convertor.
Like I said catalytic convertor sits right in front of the engine right after your radiator. Looks like a big cylinder.
good luck
