It sounds like a bad chassis ground, start there.

The windows in my 2005 explorer do not work all the time and when they do the passenger side never works, just the drivers side and the back. HELP ME

Check the accessory delay relay , located in the central junction box . Passenger side may have wiring problems , in the rubber boot from the body to the door . Pull the door panel (video on youtube) Remove rubber boot ,look in side for broke wires .happens all the time .Go to http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams ! Click on wiring diagrams , then enter your vehicle info . under system click BODY & ACCESSORIES , under subsystems click POWER WINDOWS . There are also videos on you tube on automotive electrical trouble shooting an testing . Automotive electrical trouble shooting can be overwhelming to someone that hasn't learned how to . Plus you will need to take parts of your vehicle apart . If your up to it good luck ! But there is no shame in taking your vehicle to a electrical repair specialist ! I've been doing it for thirty years , Have people bring vehicles all the time half apart , they got into it an found it to be harder then they realized.

Hi, I have a volvo 740 made in belgium 1991 model. The speedomete spent a few months fluctuating wildly, sometimes working well, sometimes not at all, sometimes stuck on 140 km per hour. The odometer...

There should be a speedo sensor on the transmission somewhere. I don't know exactly where it is located. I believe your speedo is all electrical so the sensor on the transmission sends a signal to the speedo head. You can go onto some parts stores websites and see if one is listed for it, if it is, I would try replacing that first. I don't think the part should be more then $50 or $60 but you never know with Volvo. Good luck.

I'm having strange electrical problems with my Caravan. 1st the tach went crazy and quit working then the speedometer went crazy and quit working now the passenger window quit working where do I start to...

I know with the generation II caravan the Body Control Module had some strange problems. On mine the horn will not work, and the wipers work sometimes and eerily on their own. It is a known problem and there is a TSB about it.

After that, it could be a bad ground.

I have a 1992 jeep wrangler and my promblem is my speedometer isnt working but my tachometer is what should i look for

Your tach still works because it reads engine rpm. The computer uses info from the speedometer but the signals for the tach and speedometer come from different places.
I can't remember if your speedometer is cable driven or electric but the sender is on the drivers side rear of the transfer case output tailshaft housing. If cable driven check that the cable isn't broken inside (I usually put an electric drill on the cable and run the drill to see if the speedometer works (some run backwards) If the drill is able to make the speedometer work check the gear that is inside the transmission by removing the part the cable is attached to. That drives the cable. If electric, check wiring and if OK, replace the sending unit.

Speedometer and odometer stoped working

Dear Sir/Madam, The problem is electrical. The speedometer/odometer box needs to be removed from behind the steering wheel (or after removing the steering wheel)...The bulbfuses behind the panel need to be changed and new electrical connections made for the speedometer/odometer to work.
Thanks, Netpreneur

Speedometer not working

I think you may have a problem with the BCM (body control module) as far as the wipers and windows anyway, the other issue may or may not be related, run a system test for trouble codes, you may have a VSS problem or the speedo head circuit board may have failed , it is electronic.

Speedometer don,t work

Depending on whether your speedo is mechanical (uses a cable), or electronic (uses an electrical wire to carry the signal from the sender), I would look it (what's in between the speedo and trans speed sender) before replacing the instrument panel. A good service manual that includes a dash wiring diagram should help trouble shoot this problem.
Good luck.
