I was driving my 1997 dodge grand caravan last night and it lost power to drive like it was out of gas. My gas gauge says I have a half tank.

Assuming that you still have some gas in your tank. You can check the ignition systems in your car. This will start from the ignition coil to the distributor cap. At the distributor, check the rotor for carbonization, this must be cleaned. Check the spark plug cables for cracks. And finally the spark plugs, for burnt out. It may need replacement.
Before checking the ignition system, check the gas
lines going to the carburetor, it could be clogged or
broken. No gas fuel going to your carburetor will also
make your engine stop.

1990 Dodge Caravan 3.0 Was driving then it quit

Check MAP sensor first. Unplug connector and plug back in again and try to restart. (Known sensor issues.) Can scan for codes on sensor.
If that doesn't work, check ignition module.
Question: Do you know for sure if it's ignition and not gas? Also known for bad fuel pumps.

97 dodge stratus 2.4 ,testing a camsensor

Have you had the ignition switch changed? If the ignition switch is faulty you can have issues getting the car to turn over. Also when driving the car can just shut off. The contacts in the ignition switch just wear out over time. It's a good place to start looking.

Check MAP sensor. If PCM gets wrong data from MAP sensor it should offset ignition timing and/or make fuel mixture too lean or too rich.
