We own a 2005 Grand Caravan. Yesturday the wipers would not shut off even after the engine was turned off and key was taken out. We ended up unhooking the battery to get it to stop. We replaced the fuse thinking it was that but now they won't turn on. any suggestions?

this issue is in the wiper motor control. the shut off switch is misaligned causing it to keep running. kind of like you hold the windshield washer button. replace the controller if available or the whole wiper motor assy.
it sounds like the relay for the wipers has stuck on try replacing relay first to see if that solves it if not it could be the the controll switch its self sticking hope this helps ivan uk
The 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan has the most common hook-end wiper arms. See related links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.
Bring the new battery back to where you bought it and have them check it. Check that the neutral wire (black) is secure to the engine frame. Also check that the wire ends are clean before reconnecting.
