Question about 1991 Buick LeSabre

1 Answer

1991 Buick Le Sabre- both front power windows will not go down. Wondering if a fuse since it's both of them. Where are the fuses for the windows? Is it one fuse for all or one for each window? If it's not this, what do you think I should check? Both back windows roll down. Thanks, Evy

Buick Le Sabre No Start?

I have recently worked on a 1995 Buick Le Sabre that wouldn't start. First checked the fuel pump fuse and relay, they were both good. Then proceeded to change the faulty fuel pump. Proceeded to crank the car up and NO START....
Ended up finding that these buicks have problems with there wiring. So i found the power and ground wire to the fuel pump. Grounded it to the frame, and ran a hot wire up to the dash to a on/off switch that i then ran through the firewall and into a 20 amp fuse link. From there to a power source. Now to start the car, you have to turn the fuel pump on and off when you shut the car off.
But that beats chasing the entire wiring harness down to find a mysterious short.

Buick Le sabre 1992 driver window would not go down for a few days and now it's working again. Just wondering what would cause that?

Thanks for stopping by.

Dirty brushes on the motor are the most likely culprit for that intermittent issue..
Most times - simply removing the motor - spraying with electrical contact cleaner, blowing out with compressed air, and returning it to service is all that's required.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

1999 Buick Le Sabre Custom, My heat, and defrost work fine, but my car won't cool when I turn on the AC. My air conditioning is charged and the blowers work fine but why wont they blow cold air?

The first I would do is check if the a/c compressor is working. Start vehicle then turn a/c on in vehicle full power and then off/on a couple of times if you hear a click when turned on then compressor is working properly. If this is the case then you need freon. If not turning on,first check fuses, for location refer to owners manual,if not fuse then compressor needs to be checked which then you will need service manual purchase at local autoparts store.

How to replace fuse for power windows in a 1998 buick le sabre?

How to replace a fuse ?

Do you even know that you have
a blown fuse?

If you do,are you aware that if you replace
it,it will blow again.

Are you aware that a fuse isn't a repair
or fix for anything. It is just a link in completing
a circuit, that will melt to protect everything
down stream, if a circuit experiences a
high current load

1993 buick le sabre 3.8v6.no spark somthing shorted out

those wires are probably going down to the crank sensor if that sensor fails then the car will not start so fix the wiring and try replacing the crank sensor.
