Question about 2002 Nissan Altima
Under the driver side arm rest.

If there is not a lever near the floor on the left hand side of the driver's seat, then check your glove box. Sometimes they put a button in the top right corner of the inside of the glove box. If it is not in either of those two places, check your center console (near the shifter), or in the small compartment in between the driver's and passenger's seats (if you have one). These are the normal places that you should be able to find a trunk release button ... if it is not in any of these places, you might not actually have a trunk release inside your car -- you might just have to use the key to open it.
