3 possible problems.... you may have a shorted winding in the fan motor itself, a short in your panel switch on the vehicles climate control console, a bad relay in your fan circuit, or a shorted out blower resistor (near the firewall)

It's probably the heater blower motor resistor. This resistor is what's used to run the motor in every setting but high. It's usually located under the hood, somewhere on the bulkhead (firewall). look for a small wiring harness that goes into the bulkhead. there's usually a small plate held in by two screws. You don't know what the part looks like? Then go to the parts store and ask to see a new one. It could also be located inside under the dash on the passenger side. This is something that can usually be done pretty easily once the part is located. I hope this information has been helpful and thank you for using Fixya.com

Heater blower stopped working in my 2000 ford expedition stopped working

Be certain to check your fuses, and also the ones that are under the hood.
Then, one of 3 likely events.
First, find a plug-in outside of the blower motor, and with key on and dash switch on, see if juice is getting to the blower motor.
If not, ether the relay or the blower is bad.
The most common problem is the relay, second most common in the motor, third is the dashboard switch.
God bless your efforts.

Heater fan not operating

Most of the time when a heater blower quits working it is the blower switch that fails rather than the motor. Blower switch can be accessed in the dash panel.

Heater fan don't work, don't know which fuse operates heater fan

Hi!!
Look in engine compartment close to battery for fuse box, remove cover and inside cover there is a diagram of fuse/relay locations.
You are looking for a fuse and relay, it should say blower fan or AC blower fan. First check fuse, if Fuse is ok. check Relay.
Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!

2003 expedition: heater control only works on 3 or 4. Why?

I would suspect the fan switch itself,if it only worked on high,it would be the blower resister.

You might have a bad speed selector switch, or your blower motor resistor is faulty.

check fuses, check power and ground at blower motor.if the blower has only one speed it will mean a resistor is shot.an easy test if blower is not working at all is to turn blower on hi and tap on the bottom of blower motor with hammer if the blower motor kicks in then you know the motor is the problem.if the motor still does not work, the wiring to the switch and the switch will need to be tested,if the wiring and switch are ok,then replace the blower motor.
