I know on chevys that there's a module on the motor itself that is a common problem in those trucks. I'd check and see if there's one on the ford. It costs a whole $20 at the oreillys

How do you troubleshoot wiper blades on a 1995 Jeep Grand cherokee?

First check the wiper fuse then check the relay by turning wipers to on position and listen for the relay to click if it clicks its good.If they are good then turn the ignition and wiper switches on and check for 12 volts at the wiper motor. If you 12 volts then the wiper motor is faulty.Replace motor.

Replaced fuse, windshield wiper motor, link assembly, and still wont work in 98 lincoln navigator

The only thing left is the wiper switch. Check for power at the wiper motor when in low position (should be a green or white with green tracer wire). Also check the connection at the base of the steering column for the wiper switch.

I have a 1990 Lumina, my wipers don't work. I have changed the motor and the fuse is good. I would like know what other things I can look for?

Hello! If you have a volt meter, check the following points for +12 volts...At the wiper motor assembly connector...Check Pin A Purple wire...Pin B Dark/Green..
Turn wiper switch to low and measure both pins...Do the same with switch on high...If +12 volts is not present the wiper switch is defective...If +12 volts is present at both switch positions the ground feed to the wiper motor is open...Ground is the Black wire on Pin C...Guru...Saailer

1997 expedition, rear wiper motor does not run...trying to find wiring diagram of wiring to rear motor, specifically if there is a connector somewhere up under the headliner toward the back of the car that...

There could be a number of issues to look at. Does the motor work or is it a broken wireor is the fuse blown or bad ground to wiper motor. Check fuses first if O.K. go to the rear door panel & access the motor. Once there check the ground connection & make sure motor is well grounded. Turn motor switch on & using a probe tester check to see if power is getting to motor. If it is not, go to the wiring harness flex point between door & frame & pry back outer covering to reveal the wires. Check for a broken wire.If you have power & ground is good Take motor off & check motor on the bench using A 12 volt power scource. If it does not work replace motor. If this advice helps please fell free to recommend accordingly. Thanks!

Wipers not working on 98 saturn sl1

sounds like a short in the wiper switch inside cab.
test volts at the wiper motor with switch on with test light if none, check wiring to motor for shorts or breaks.
replace switch inside cab if all else checks ok.

if light lights up at motor IE has 12 volts at motor,on all wiper settings, it may be bad motor.

The windscrean wippers only work on one speed then get stuck

when the wiper stop and malfunction leave the car on and wiper switch on then proceed to unplug the wiper motor plug and using a voltmeter set on DC 10 amp check the plug for 12 - 14 volts, ground the negative probe to a nut or a suitable ground while using the positive probe on voltmeter to insert into each plug terminals one of the terminals inside of the plug should have the 12 volts present if no voltage is present on any of the plug's wires replace the wiper switch, if voltage is present the wiper motor is bad.

Unplug wires at the motor. Then with the wipers switched on check for a 12 volt reading. If you are getting 12 volts then your wiper motor needs replacing If your not getting 12 volts then the switch is faulty replace it.Good luck.

Front wiper

the first thing to check is the fuse located in the fuse box. your owners manual can give you the location and proper fuse amps. if that is good do you hear a noise when the wipers are turned on (motor running clicking ect. I have seen many instances where the wiper arm becomes worn and will not grip on the motor. there was a time when these were secured by nuts however today most are pressed on.if there is no noise then with the use of a 12 volt probe available at most auto parts store have a friend turn the switch on and off to see if you are getting power to the wiper motor. if not the switch is bad. if you have power then the motor has failed.
