Under the steering column, there is a black fuse box you will need to undo the 3 screws that hold the fuse box up. It is easier if you undo the bottom dash trim under the steering column. Once you have undone the screws on the fuse box (leave the wires attached) pull the fuse box down and on the top side there is a sticker with your factory keycode. You will need a flashlight and possible a mirror, I was able to pull mine down far enough to get my head up inside the steering column to read the numbers. Remember if using a mirror the numbers are backwards to the way you are reading them. Good luck Better than paying the dealership $80.00

Thank you-saved me $30!! Didn't need to unscrew it though, saw it perfectly fine with just a mirror :)

How do I reset the keyless entry pad to unlock the doors on my 2006 ford five hundred

You can't reset it. They all come with a factory code (RKE Code). If you have the factory code you can add a second and third code of your own. If you have lost the factory code you can retrieve it by going to the Ford dealer. Secondly you can do it this way:
Location for key pad entery code; 2006 Ford 500. Need to pull panel off below steering wheel (I used a 9/32 socket) Then look for 3 10mm nuts, 2 @ top 1 on the bottom. if you are having trouble locating this box, its part of your fuse box (says pull on the cover) and your fuses are behind the cover. Once you have removed the 3 10mm nuts, look on the back of the box (CAREFUL NOT TO PULL ON WIRES TO MUCH) and you will see the 5digit code! Watch this you tube video.

I hope this helps.

Where is the computer module on the 2006 f350

Location of Keyless Code on Computer Module of Ford F250 Superduty ( 2009 )

Finding this code seems to be a common problem, so, here is a better answer to save you the time I spent locating the sticker on the computer module that shows the keyless entry code.

One owners from 2008 F150 XLT Superduty tell me and I suspect the location for a F150 would be very near same location as on a F250

The computer module is mounted high on the firewall approximately behind the a/c fan speed control knob. Here is how to find it / get to it:

1. Remove the large cover under the steering column that covers the fuse block. You'll need to reach in under the dash, with your left arm, to the right of the steering column and left of center to move stuff to get a clear view.

2. Open the storage pocket door on the lower edge of the dash (right of the steering column) and squeeze the back side of the storage pocket to allow the stops to pass to the front. This will allow the opening to be clear to see the computer module up in the dash. Shine your flash light through this opening.

3. Move the first piece of white insulation to the side to see the firewall. Look up through the pocket door, moving the wiring harnesses aside if necessary. You'll find a second white insulation wrapped snugly across the computer module. When you push the insulation up to see the flat surface, you see the 5 digit number printed up-side-down in black on a white sticker. This is your keyless entry code.

Instructions for Programming Keyless Entry Code (from the 2008 Owner's Manual)

KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
You can use the keyless entry keypad to lock or unlock the doors without using a key.

The keypad can be operated with the factory set 5-digit entry code; this code is located on the owner's wallet card in the glove box, is marked on the computer module, and is available from your authorized dealer. You can also create your own 5-digit personal entry code.

When pressing the controls on the keypad, press the middle of the controls to ensure a good activation.

Programming a personal entry code
To create your own personal entry code:
1. Enter the factory set code. The driver door will unlock.

2. Within five seconds press the 1 • 2 on the keypad.

3. Enter your personal 5-digit code. Each number must be entered within five seconds of each other.

4. The doors will lock then unlock to confirm that your personal keycode has been programmed into the module.

Tips:
• Do not set a code that uses five of the same number.
• Do not use five numbers in sequential order.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

HOW DO YOU GET THE DOOR CODE FOR A FORD FIVE HUNDRED IF YOU WERE NOT GIVEN IT UPON PURCHASE?

OK, I found my code. Under the dash on the driver's side is the fuse box, it should be over your left foot. On the BACK side of the fusebox is the Smart Junction Box, and the 5-digit code is printed on it very plainly (too bad the fuse box is in the way). It's possible to remove the three nuts holding the fusebox down and turn it around, but there are so many wires holding it in place that it's nearly impossible. What I did was to get out my digital camera, put it in close-up macro mode, and worm it in behind the steering column, aimed at the back of the fusebox. I took about 20 pictures of the back of the fusebox, and one of the pictures showed the code.

Cant find push button keyless entry code

They haven't put the code on the trunk lid for at least 10 years. On the 500/Montego, it's printed on a sticker on the Smart Junction box. This box is behind the fusebox (under the dash on the driver's side, above your left foot), so the sticker is facing the engine. You can use an inspection mirror to see the sticker, but I was able to get my digital camera behind there and take several pictures, and I was able to see the code.

NOTE:
Since 2003 Ford has NOT placed the Code on the Box on some Models. you will most likely have to have Ford use the Scan Tool to retrieve the Number.

I can't find the keyless entry code for my 2004 ford freestar

The code is on the fuse box under the dash near the hood release. On my van there are two bar codes on a sticker attached to the fuse box. Under the first bar code, on the right side is the 5 digit code (bring your glasses the numbers are really small). After you get this code, just search the internet and there are plenty of forums on programing the keyless remote and also adding your own unique number to the key pad entry.

Good Luck
