You cannot change the factory code and you will need it to set a personal code. To find the factory code you will need to open the fuse cover on the passenger side of the vehicle under the instrument panel. Above and to the left you should see a module that has a label/sticker on it with bold numbers (5 of them). Below is a picture of an exemple of the location of the module and how the label looks you may need a flash light. It is down there believe me. Once you have found the code, tried it and am sure you have the right code you can set a personal code, one that you can remember easily. to do this enter the 5 digit factory code. Then within 5 seconds press the 1/2 button. Now enter the new code you want to put in. Once the new code is put in the locks will cycle confirming to you that the new code is put in there. This does not replace the factory code and both codes will work. If you ever want to erace the personal code, press in the factory code and within 5 seconds press and release the 1/2 button within 5 seconds and the personal code will then be removed. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Interior lights stay on wile i'm driving my 2005 lincoln navigator

Only one bad door switch should do that

The 20 min time out is the GEM or Body Module,
which is normal only because you have a bad switch,
otherwise it goes to sleep when either front door opens

Put radio on & open a door, the radio should go off
& kill the time delay if no issues exist

How do i get the original factory code for the keyless access on the door of my 2005 Lincoln Navigator?

Remove the fuse cover panel located on the passenger sidewall under the dash. Look up above and to the left of the fuse panel. You will see a series of five vertical numbers. This is the factory door code. Keep this number even if you change codes since either code will open the door. Hope This helps you.

How can i Open and Close my Lincoln Navigator 2005 Door locks and slide gate by using door pin code

As lomg as you have the factory code the procedures are as follows: To unluck the drivers side dorr, simple push in the 5 digit code. If you want to unluck the other doors & liftgate, after you push in the 5 digit code and the drivers door unlocks push the 3/4 button within 5 seconds and if you want you can open the liftgate window by pushing the 5/6 button within 5 seconds. If you want to lock all doors and liftgate, after the drivers side door is closed you can push the 7/8 & 9/0 button at the same time and all the doors & liftgate will lock. As far as the sliding door, no the keypad cannot be used for that. the only other function I believe you can do with the keypad is to activate or deactivate the autolock & you can also store a personal 5 digit code as well. This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you do not and would like a copy, you can email me at with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. I hope this helps and good luck.

Receiving door ajar indication on 2003 Lincoln Navigator

Sounds like you have a Faulty Door Switch. When you open the door there is a Small Button on the Side closest to the Inside of the Truck. Push this in with your Finger and see if they don't go off. Some of these are Movable so you can adjust them in and out.
