This is correct. there is also a drain plug if you want to change fluid while your at it. a lube gun will come in handy to get the fluid in the hole. it looks like a grease gun with a hose and can suck and blow fluid.

Remove the fill plug on the side of the gearbox, usually half way up,and fill the box until the oil starts to run out the hole. Then replace the plug.

Can you put a v6 out of a 1992 rodeo into a 1990 pickup that came with a 2.3l 4cylinder?

Any engine can be replaced. Most of all you need to look at engine mountings and space, electrical harness + computer and then Gearbox and differential specs. 4 cylinder gearbox will not be very good with a 6 cylinder engine. you will have high refs but no speed. if you have older v6, you might get away with electronics as a lot of them a straight forward. need a bit of work but doable.

New clutch it's already install but still shift noising

Make sure there is enough transmission oil in the gearbox, without oil the synchro's cannot work so gearchanges will be slow and cumbersome. If filling the gearbox oil dosent help maybe you have gearbox damage - have the gearbox checked out.

Gearbox oil

On the side of the trans. you'll find 2 bolts that have 1/2" drive holes in them. A 1/2" drive ratchet head will fit in. On the upper bolt, you'll remove it and this is the hole that the oil will go into. Use a pump that screws to the top of the oil container which is available at any parts store. Pump the oil into trans. until it comes out of the bottom of the hole. Screw the plug back in and tighten.

Want to get it right the first time..

try checking the fluid level in the gearbox, rodeo dont have a dipstick so u have to undo the plug on the side of the gearbox just like a manual gearbox.if the oil is really low i suggest doing a full service on the gearbox, change the oil and filter is ideal for better results.
