This is correct. there is also a drain plug if you want to change fluid while your at it. a lube gun will come in handy to get the fluid in the hole. it looks like a grease gun with a hose and can suck and blow fluid.

Remove the fill plug on the side of the gearbox, usually half way up,and fill the box until the oil starts to run out the hole. Then replace the plug.
