Try cleaning the windshield. Really good. If that don't solve the problem. Kinda bend the wiper arm a bit in such a way untill it stop doing what it is doing.

Wiper arm loose tighten

I believe your diagnosis is correct, the wiper assembly is spinning, and not making a good connection with the wiper arm socket. The wiper arm socket has grooves in it that match up with grooves on the wiper assembly. If the grooves on the wiper arm are worn down, then the assembly can't 'grab' the wiper arm socket. Take off the wiper arm to inspect the socket. There is probably a retainer clip holding the arm in place. You may get some help from Advance Auto or Auto Zone.

Motor that moves the windshield wiper on the drivers side of our 2000 Ponitica Montana stopped working, I have been told that this part will cost me 300.00 dollars. I can not afford that, can you help me?

If the wiper on the passengers side is working normally and only the drivers side is not working. Then it is not the motor because there is only one motor and it works both sides. What you need to do is remove the drivers side wiper and clean the splines on the wiper transmission and reinstall the wiper and tighten it down. The hardest part is usually getting the wiper off.But if yours is not moving then it should come right off.All you need is a 13mmwrench or socket to remove the nut that holds the wiper on.You can do this yourself and it will cost nothing. The usual problem is they just come loose.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Windshield wiper on car iced up during snow/driving could not see

You can usually avoid that by using a good quality winter mix washer fluid that resists freezing, making sure the wipers are cleared of ice before beginning the drive and using the defroster to keep the windshield warm. In extreme conditions you just need to pull over and manually clean the ice off by hand.(only do that where it's safe). There are also specially designed wiper blades that will also help a bit.

2001 ford windstar windshield wipers do not work

These wiper controls are notorious for failing. Most likely the wiper switch is bad, but have the wiper motor tested just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps, good luck!

1999 Buick Centery passenger side windshield wiper

Sounds like you need two new wiper motors. I beliveve the gearing inside the motors are worn out and now theres alot of play in them. Try wiggling the wipers with you hands and see if you can feel any up or down / side to side movement.

One wiper works fine the other barely moves

Pop the cap up at the base of your wiper, where it attaches to the car.I believe you will find the nut is loose or the shaft of the wiper motor is stripped where the wiper slides onto shaft
