If the transmission shop has to pull the tranny out it usually takes 2 or 3 days depending on how busy they are. Some shops can turn it around a little faster.

2005 trailblazer tranny slipping, also transmission component slipping intermittent code comes up. 179,000 miles. Replace part or get new teanny?

Robert, It will be up to you to get estimates on transmission and replacement, to see which would be more cost effective. Things to consider Over all condition of Trailblazer and should I fix transmission, rebuild, used replacement, new.

Truck on't accelerate properly

Hello,

Was the transmission fluid level excessively low for a prolonged period of time because of the leak?
If this is the case this could have caused a front pump failure in the transmission (TH350, TH400). Or I suppose a tranny sensor could be to blame. Often the OD (Overdrive) goes out before the rest. At a local transmission shop in my area for a bench job (you take out the tranny and they do a rebuild and you put the tranny back in) is about $400 for a Turbo Hydro 350 automatic, $425 for a 5-speed manual with new synchroze.
I hope this helps.

Why is my 1999 Chevy Blazer rpm goes up high but can only reach up to 35 Mph and doesn't go any faster?

Hello,

Do you have a Manual transmission or an automatic transmission?
Manual: Clutch
Auto: Front pump - Tranny rebuild - $400+ for bench job (you uninstall and reinstall transmission).

I hope this helps.

Automatic tranny with overdrive shifts hard and slips big time

If you're lucky, a fluid drain and refill may fix it. If not, then it's tranny rebuild time. Also, if you don't know when the last it was serviced, don't 'flush' the tranny fluid - just have it drained/refilled/drive for 5 minutes/repeat, 3 times to get most of the old fluid out. Flushing can make it worse.

I expect you are having internal issues within the tranny. There are valves within in that, from time to time, may fail. Soory to say but from this vantage point I suspect you'll need to drp the tranny and rebuild or replace with another used/rebuild.

I hope this may have asisted you,

I bought my 1998 Oldsmobile 88 used. How can I find out if the transmission has been repaired or replaced?

it seems like 90% of tranny shops paint their trannys either gray, silver or another color when they rebuild their trannys.however,a factory remanufactured(ie. GM etc.) trans will probably have a more professional "baked on"paint job and the paint wont come off as easily.you could also look for evidence of new parts such as gaskets, sensors or switches could indicate a repaired trans.

Shop for a rebuilt transmission, or get an estimate from AAMCO for a rebuild job, but it won't be cheap. Get at least 3 estimates before you decide how to proceed. Good luck.

1997 eclipse with trans problem

This is most likely going to be a huge problem, that will require the rebuilding or replacement of the tranny. I recommend you have a local transmission shop diagnose it and give you an estimate.
