You could possibly need new brake pads. Have you checked the brakes? Also, sometimes a small rock can get lodged in the brakes causing a noise like that.

Good Luck!

In most cases the noise is the bearing for the ac compressor clutch. Once the clutch bearing fails, the serpentine belt will be lost.

My 2004 montecarlo gets a loud vibration noise that sounds like comming from dash but cannot hear noise from outside but is so loud that i cant hear the radio with the windows up and does it only driv

This may sound radical, but while driving on an open road with no traffic, put the car in neutral and turn the motor off. If the sound goes away, the problem is in the motor or trans. If the problem persists, its probably a wheel bearing or something stuck in your wheel. Car will restart in neutral, and just drop it back into drive.

High pitched whinning sound at cold start, but lessens after driving and outside air temp increases.

I would check the idler pulleys on the belt first. Then maybe the alternator. If your battery is getting a little weak it could be working the alternator hard when you first start it up. I don't know how loud it is though. The alternator wouldn't be real noticeable but some people would hear it.

that depends on if you think the noise is coming from the motor, or the actual road noise that comes with driving , its probably the same at both speeds but sine you have less air and outside noise,, you hear it more at lower speeds. does it make the same noise when started but not moving? if you answer that yes, then its something else besides road noise, if it is no, then get your front end checked, it could be anything from a bad alignment to a bad wheel bearing, or bad brake ,

When I am driving I hear a clicking noise. It sounds like it is coming from the rear of the vehicle

Hello, it wigit with his/here finger nail stripping the rubber of you tires in the back of you vehicle.
Is it a timely click that is unformed sound. Does the clicking intervals get louder with the speed increasing? It sound like a rear wheel bearing that out of grease. If it start squalling really loud. You will need to a new wheel bearing install. Don't let go to far it can out the wheel bearing and cause the particular wheel to come off. GB...stewbsion

I have a humming noise in my 2003 ss Chevy Silverado. It's loud in the cab but you can't hear it outside. The hum sounds like underneath somewhere. I heard it might be a belt or the tires. thank...

If it were the belt you would hear it clearly with the hood open! So if you don't it probably isn't the belt - but you should still check the condition of the belt - any cracks?
The tires would be loudest if the windows were down and driving - if that isn't the case - probably not that either.

Humming noise could be many things and you need to localize the problem. If it sounds like an electronic hum you might want to check the fuel pump since you almost sit on the tanks.

Try turning everything off - radio, ac, etc off and see if you can at least localize the sound to a particular area.

Do you have to be moving before you can hear the noise? If not remove your belt and start your rig and see if you still hear the noise. Don't run it for too long as you may overheat it. If the noise is gone well then you will know that it is something that is driven by the belt such as a idler pulley or tendioner pulley making some noise and may need replaced. Worn belts can make noises. A bearing going out in an alternator can make your noise. Water pump? AC compressor? If the noise is still there with the belt off then you know to look elsewhere. Check your wheel bearings and front CV joints and axles.

Oil pressure light on at idle

Don't delay on this. Take the vehicle in and have the oil pressure sensor checked. It could be just the sensor or it could be something more serious. A drop in oil pressure could lead to catastrophic engine failure.
