There are side panels in the trunk of car so you need to open the trunk hood first and you should be able to take your hand and slowly snap off the panels that uses plastic thumb inserts that goes into the body inside of trunk. Do this slowly and make sure that these plastic thumb inserts are put back the same way they have been taken off. There could be bolts or screws too just use tools and unscrew them if any to get to your light bulbs.

I did those steps but it was difficult to remove the lid from the top part. I wasn't sure if it would break so I snapped it back.

usually there are plastic thumb inserts that can break but easy to buy them at store like Wal Mart but also you should be able to see them with a flash light inside the trunk

there might be some screws that you have to look for and unscrew them to even get inside to replace the bulbs.

It is not possible to have that reset or turned off "Service Due!" without using a diagnostic scantool connected to the data link connector of the car. This is the only one way to reset service due light on 2004 Audi A8.
