Hi, the blower motor is located behind the glove box or compartment.

  • Remove floor distribution ducts and glove box, as necessary to gain access to motor.
  • Disconnect electrical connector from blower motor.
  • Remove screws securing motor mounting plate to housing, then the motor assembly, taking care not to damage seal.
  • Remove retaining ring securing impeller, then the impeller.
  • Reverse procedure to install

SOURCE: 97 jimmy blower motor location

there is a heater box just above the passenger footwell, and behind the glovebox. generally the fan is installed upside down on the bottom. so if there is not a wrap under dash you can put your head where the passenger's feet should be and look up. above you will be the cable connector and screws holding the fan into the box. if you disconnect and unscrew it, pull it down out and replace it. Take a few extra minutes and put a canister vacuum hose up in there and **** out whatever you can get in the way of leaves and gravel so they do not get into your new fan. Be gentle, if you are ham fisted let someone else do the vacuuming for you. do a quick search for a video of this process on www.youtube.com there are thousands of car repair videos there.

Subject: 2004 isuzu rodeo...my ac/heater blower is not working

The resistors are in circuit only on the lower fan speed settings.
On the highest speed setting, power is switched directly to the fan motor.
Check fan power supply fuses,
Check power is available to the fan when high speed selected.
If all above OK, apply power directly to the motor to verify fan motor runs- if it doesn't the motor may need replacement/repair.

try checking out your blower speed control resistors. follow your power wire from blower to the resistors, to locat, should be in duct in front of blower for cooling. I hope this helps, if the resistors pack is good only think else is a bad switch

Replace the alternator on a 97 isuzu rodeo

from Yahoo answers
The alternator is located on the passenger side of the motor at the bottom. There is a bracket attached to the motor and the alternator. You need not take the bracket off to remove the alternator. Two bolts hold the alternator to the bracket. One bolt is on the front top of the alternator and one bolt is located on the bottom front of the alternator. The bottom front bolt is attached to the tension adjustment for the alternator. Loosen the tension screw then remove the bolt going through the tension adjustment. After you loosen the top, front bolt, the alternator should be loose enough to move side to side. Remove the top, front bolt. Now you must disconnect the alternator from the power supply. Behind the alternator is a screw with a wire attached via nut. Remove this wire. Nextly there is a series of wires with a plug on the end. It is plugged into the side of the alternator. Uplug this item. You can also access both of these from the passenger side front tire well. Something to consider is that remanufactured alternators in Rodeo's as well as the Honda Passport (which has the same engine as the Rodeo) do not work and the problem(s) associated with a bad alternator,ie; not charging, no fan blower, battery light and brake light on, still exsist after replacing alternator with reman. Use a factory original alternator if possible. It will cost a little more than a reman but will most likely save you a lot of time and headache!

Hope this helps you out!!

Easy fix. Usually the blower motor resistor gets messed up. (Page 3-8 Haynes manual 47017). The dash light could be a few things. All my bulbs went bad. Little bit of a hassle but no problem with the book.
