I just bought a 2005 expedition. It started chugging right from the start. I was told it had been sitting it would resolve. It only got worse. It's mostly when I take my foot off the gas a little. When...

Spark plugs would be a good place to start along with an oil change, put some fuel treatment in your tank and drive it a while it should come out of it.

I have a FORD Econolinen 1993. When I drive he abuse 45 ltres of gaz on 100 miles . Is this normale ?

on normal that trk should be around 6-7 gallons used per one hundred miles drove. i based that at 15 mpg. now that is also based on a V8 engine. now 1 gallon of gas is 3.78541178 liters which totals 12 galons of gas to 45.42494136 liters. This would mean that it took 12 gallons of gas to travel 100 miles which totals 8.3333333333 mpg. not as good as i would have thought. 8 miles per gallon (mpg) hell that engine must be a big block 460. If it is that big cubic inch i could understand but any other motor should do better mpg than 8.3. so i agree that is not normal, tune up, or look for fuel leak in the fuel supply or( feed ) line. From the tank to the motor. This must be a canadian truck yes? well hope for the best or trade that guzzler in for a new breed. stay warm!

If it is properly tuned, and the throttle body, choke setup is working properly, you should get 12-15 city and 18-20 hwy.

Try a major tune up (spark plugs are only one part of it) fuel/air filter, PCV valve, cap, rotor, spark plug wires and adjust timing..

Im looking at a 1994 f350 dually with the 460..its a five sppeed..i need it to pull my cow trailer..can i get 12 mpg pulling?? also, what do you think about this motor and set up in general...any help or...

Price is not bad, the motor set up is a great motor. I have never heard of any major problems with it. You will not get 12 mpg unless you are pulling empty on a level surface or a downgrade. A more realistic number will be 8-10 mpg with a loaded trailer at normal speeds. If you travel around 55 on highways you may be able to average 12 depending on conditions. You may also look to make sure it has a transmission cooler and weather or not it has turbo. All of these things will effect your mileage.

Bad Gas mileage. I am getting around 12 - 13.5 mpg around town. 5.2 4spd auto. 90K miles. Thoughts?

Have a complete tune up performed , includes spark plugs , wires cap and rotor. Change air filter element and have a fuel induction service performed as well.
