I have a 1994 Chevy Blazer that hesitates at times when changing gears at about20mpg then again at30mpg then when it gets going on the highway it's fine

I have a 1994 chevy S10. Recently when I am driving its like it wants to stay in gear and hesitate . It does this when i am on a highway or going up a hill. If i let my foot off the gas then press it again...

sounds could be fuel related, try a fuel addative , get one that covers the catalytic convertor as well as engine parts , this will remove any carbon etc build up that may be causing sensors etc to give of false readings ,it may also be the engine management system which would need specialist diagnosis as the kickdown function may be an issue , so could the auto trans fluid condition and level , sorry can't give a definitive answer but hopefully this might help get your issue resolved , keep me updated if you wish

I had the same problem. I was buying my fuel pumps at Advan**
Auto Parts and Auto Z*** . I always bought the cheapest pump but after dropping the tank 3 times I was frustrated so I bought the best pump they had I think it was made by Bosh. Never had that problem again.

tsb remove dist cap ,clean out breather holes i replaced cap and rotor at the same time. chevy has the problem with the 4.3l astro,s and blazer i have both.fixed the problem when buying the cap and rotor the directions inside will also tell you how to fix

Distributor get taken out? Sounds like it's one tooth off at the gear between the camshaft and the distributor shaft.

Transmission problesm

Ahhhh I see from the next post why. Have you changed the transmission fluid and filter?
Let me know, and is this the only problem with the transmission you are aware of?
