I have a 1989 chevy caprice wit a fuel injected 350. I replaced the fuel pump and the fuel pump relay. I also changed every fuse in the inside of the car. I have gas coming up to my throttle body. But the car won't unless I spray carb cleaner in it. And it doesnt crank everytime.. But it runs a while then kills. But while its run'n I don't see any gas shooting out of the injectors. What could be my problem??

The injectors on a TBI are going to spray gas only when the engine cranks over not when the key is turned on. With that said you may have a bad pressure regulator in the TBI. The rubber in it may have a hole in it not allowing it to build pressure for the injectors. However, before doing that I would check to be sure I had power to the injectors. You can purchase a noid light at the parts store and check to ensure you have power to the injectors in the TBI they are not that much.

Cant find the fuel pump relay on a 1989 chevy caprise

The fuel pump relay is in the engine compartment, attached to a bracket on the side of the right fender. It is approx. 2x2" black cube and has a plug attached to it. You can test it by attaching a short wire to the red test wire (coming from this plug) and touch this to your 12v positive terminal on your battery. A replacement relay is about $10 at auto parts stores.

I have a 1992 chevy caprice.when car sits overnight i go to start it and it cranks over probably 7or 8 times then starts and runs good.i had a 1977 chevy with a carburator and it fired up in about 1.5 to 2...

No this is not normal at all and you have a problem. FI engines should start immediately and run great without any hesitation. It can be a partially clogged fuel filter. Replace the fuel filter ASAP. It can also be a weak fuel pump or defective fuel pressure regulator especially on a 18 year old car. Fuel pump is located on top and inside the fuel tank. The tank must be removed to replace the fuel pump. After replacing the fuel filter and fuel pressure test will tell you if the pump is going bad.

My 1993 Chevy 350 fuel injected pickup just quit

Check to see if there is any power getting to the fuel pump, if there is 12 volts going to the fuel pump then replace the pump, if there is no voltage present, the problem could be the fuel pump relay, a fuse, or a break in the wiring.

1995 chevy caprice classic

Also do not let tank run low because fuel in tank keeps in tank pump cool. This is why the pump is in the tank.
