I am trying to flush the coolant system on 200r SRX Cadillac. Which hose is the heater inlet?

If you just flush the radiator with the heater open and on, It will flush the heater core at the same time

My 1998 S10 Chevy pick up heater only heats when I hold the gas pedal to the floor. When I let off the gas it slowly starts blowing cold air again. what is your thoughts on this problem?

Sounds like you have a restriction in the heater core. You can try removing the heater hoses at the firewall and putting a garden hose to the bottom inlet to reverse flush the core, if this is unsuccessful you will probably need to have the core replaced.

Heater circuit of coolant system could be blocked by a trapped air bubble or a blockage in the heater core. Try having the heater core back flushed. Any good auto shop should be able to do this for you if you don't know how. To remove the trapped air bubble put a coolant flush valve in the heater core line that returns the flow to the water pump inlet. Connect a washing machine water hose to it then warm the car up, turn the heater temp control knob up to the max then open the flush valve on the heater return line to allow the air to be vented out--close the valve when the coolant flows out.(use caution he water blowing out of the hose will be hot. point it safely away into a bucket to catch the coolant) Check the thermostat for proper operation while you are at it so you know it is good. Put it in water on the stove and bring the water up to the thermostat set temp to see if it opens.

Where is the inlet heater hose located on a 2005 Hyundai Elantra?

You wouldn't even be able to see it from this angle. It will be on the firewall. There will be two hoses (rubber) next to each other that are the same size. They are likely 5/8" hoses. The inlet is typically on the passenger side. Make sure the hoses are rubber. The A/C lines run into the firewall near that area but they are metal.

What should the heater core inlet hose temperature be?

It sounds as if you have a blockage in your heater core itself. You can usually remove both hoses from the core at the firewall and using compressed air, blow backwards into the heater core until it is cleared. While you are there I would suggest changing the plastic elbows that come off of the engine if they have not been changed already as they are known to crack and cause problems. They are even remaking them in metal instead of the plastic.

How do you flush a heater core on a 1993 crown

First find the 2 coolant hoses that lead to the firewall in the engine bay. Disconnect both hoses from the engine. You need to force fluid through the "inlet" hose which is usually on top of the engine(I think it leads to the water pump). Monitor the fluid that comes out... If you're having heater issues, you will probably see a bunch of gunk come out. Flush it out until it runs clear. You can also flush both ways if you're not sure which one is the inlet.

You can also try just running regular coolant flush that you can find at most department stores and parts stores, through the motor, following the directions.

My truck wont blow out any hot air, just cold. i put a new radiator and thermostat in it. it is full of anti freeze

Try removing the Heater hoses from heater tubes(be careful not to break heater tubes off) then back flush heater core with garden hose(Don't use a lot of pressure). Jell from antifreeze builds up in the heater core and blocks the coolant flow. If it is easier, remove the heater hoses from the engine, that is safer. Back flush the heater from the hoses. To Back Flush (The hose coming from the water pump is the inlet)(Hose going to Manifold is outlet) Back flush outlet hose! To much water pressure may cause damage to heater core!!!! Do Not ues AIR!!!!

How to drain and flush radiator

at the bottem on the left or the side there is a small key like screw ( righty tighty lefty lucy } then u must remove the radiator cap and also remove the themastate be sure to attach the therma housing and hose and unatch it at the top of the radiator the put water hose in the open cap area and flush for 20 mins turn on engine and let run for 2 min and repeat flushing untill all antifrez desapears. be sure to put every back tack pitchures as you remove so to put back the same way it might be good to get new thermastate

Flushing a radiator is basically removing the pedcock value and running a large amount of coolant through the system?

Purchase a tee made by Prestone at any auto parts store. Install the tee to the heater hose and flush it by their instructions. This way you also will flush out the heater core as well. Flushing the way you describes only gets the job halfway clean

First, provided their are no visible coolant leaks and/or loss of coolant with no signs of leaks, I would thoroughly flush cooling system and replace coolant, then check and/or replace thermostat (you can place thermostat in boiling water to check for proper function), if you have tried these 2 steps and still are experiencing overheating you may need to replace your water pump which can be a tricky job if you're unfamiliar and try to do it yourself, however, I could walk you through it if necessary. Also visually check your radiator hoses for bulges, wear ,etc along with heater hoses etc. You may want to also check radiator fins to see if they are dirty/obstructed and clean if necessary. Let me know if I can assist you further and how it works out
