Question about 2003 Pontiac Grand Am

The car starts fine and runs good but is sluggish and cuts out at higher rpms, want to look at the plugs but dont see them

I'm guessing that you have a 2.2L 4 cylinder (The V6 uses a coil pack and wires) that uses a coil over ignition. You'll need to remove the coil assembly to extract the spark plugs from underneath.

What can cause my truck to hesitate at low rpms but idle fine and run fine at higher rpms?


-There is couple things cause that. Possibly:
-Spark plug too dirty, pack w/carbon, oil.
-Broken plug wire.
-Bad injector.
-dirty air flow sensor.

Engine starts cutting out when accellerating to get up to speed or to pass someone.


Try several things...

Fuel injector cleaner
New fuel filters
Check for vacuum leaks
New spark plugs and wires

2001 Outback sluggish below 2000 rpms.


This may be a catalytic converter plugged up problem. Have a muffler shop take a look.

IS IT POSSIBLE YOU GOT A WIRE CROSSED? or a plug is cracked and or gap closed up? i would check these. you have the 5.3? what kind of plugs are you running?

I DONT KNOW FOR SURE BUT I WOULD REPLACE THE M.A.S. AND THE 02 SENSORS. (IF MONEY IS AN ISSUE TRY CLEANING THE M.A.S FIRST)
