Check for a broken spring either front or rear. If it is the front you will probably get a noise when turning sharp.

My 1988 mercury grand marquis just about stalls when you put it into park after driving it for a short while when the oil is still cold.


my 1988 merq grand marquis GS shuts off while parked or driving every so often. however is able to crank right back up. ive chaged the fuel filteron the under side body of the car, plugs and wires.my next step is to drop the tank and check for trash. what should i do or is there something else to look in to also.....

It should be on the left side of the engine.
