Re: 2000 dodge caravan 3.3l engine
Its sounds like toms right to me. you should get it checked for trouble codes and that would probly help figuring it out. if the engine is knocking though, the knock sensor will retard the timing. its possible to get knock if the timing or fuel is way off. or there are internal engine problems. dosnt mean the engine is shot
Black smoke is NOT from oil, either leaking past the rings or the valve
stem seals. Such leaks cause a light gray/blue smoke. Black smoke is
carbon and comes from unburned fuel, running far too rich or cylinders
not firing and dumping the gas out the exhaust.

It's not possible for liquid gasoline to come out of the tailpipe - however, due to chemical processes that take place inside the engine and in the exhaust system which are too in-depth to explain here, it is very common for water to come out of the tail pipe - especially on cooler more humid days.
Look to make sure your brake caliper bolts are secure as the can back out and contact the wheel itself. You can feel around the whell for and gouges or scraping to confirm this. It is a stretch but there may be some foriegn object stuck under there as well.
hi is it miss-firing as it sounds like a knocking noise can be anything but if you can feel it on the accelerater pedal then the noise sounds like its on the inlet valve side which would transfere the noise up the throttle body where the accelerater is located it could be something as simple as a tappet come loose to a burned valve you need to have a look do a compression test and take the rocker cover off see if theres anything come loose yates210456
