Oil keeps getting into the breather changed pc valve hoses and filters

check sump oil level--excessive oil level will cause this
have a compression test done on the engine (both wet and dry) to determine engine condition---excessive blow by from worn rings , bore or cracked piston will cause this --- clean/ replace air filter as if there is a low pressure area after the filter , it helps suck oil vapor from the sump

Whats the cause of oil in the air filter

The most common causes are weak piston rings or a blockage in the PCV system. The oil is blowing back into the air filter instead of air flowing into the engine.

1993 ford festiva leaking oil from air filter

If everything were NORMAL, this would appear to be a case of oil blow-by from the pistons caused by worn-out or broken piston rings. If you witnessed the rebuild then we can rule that out. If you did not and are taking the rebuild on the word of another, it is easy to verify. Perform a compression check and look for low compression in one or more cylinders. The other possibility is that there is an obstruction in the air intake system. Animal can next there, the flapper could be struck, etc. This would cause the engine to pull air through the hose you mention, bringing the oil with it. Normally, this hose only actsd as a vent.

Oil leaking into carb

Oil in the air filter is usually caused by blowby which is oil blowing past the cylinder rings, or a PCV valve that is not working correctly. The crankcase has too much pressure and oil is escaping out to the air filter where the crankcase is supposed to get fresh air from.
If the PCV valve and hose are ok, you may need another engine at some point. The rings and-or cylinders may have excessive wear.

On my wifes 2006 chrysler sebring air blows cold and hard in town once on the highway it seems to stop blowing hard , its still cold it gets loud like the air is blowing but , just not all out the vents

Do you live in a High Leaf Area? The Cabin Air Filter could be blocking the system. Additionally, there is a resistor that is common on Dodge's to go bad and cause the fan not to work properly.

Cylinder 3 misses and has carbon biuld up on plug also looks to have oil on the plug, smell like oil is burning , smokes alot out of tail pipe, oil consumtion is a qt, per 300 miles and it looks like oil is...

Geez!

U got a bad piston rings! U have to pull down the PiSTON to replace the PiSTON RiNGS, oil is getting in ur combustion!

Or

Check also the valve guide oil seal, hope that is the faulty one! 'Cause replacing PiSTON RiNGS will cost a LOT!

Check on that first, Oil in ur air filter means a BLOW BACK gas from ur combustion is pushing the oil into the air filter!

BLOW BACK is a residual combustion air that should have been burned or gone thru the exhaust, but w/ poor seal of ur piston ring, it goes into ur CRANK CASE and into ur EGR system w/ excess oil!

Hope that explains everything!

Oil in air filter wot causes this car in qustion is a jag xj8

This issue is caused by crankcase pressure issue.
Normally filtered air enters the engine, runs through the crank case and then is pulled into the intake through the PCV valve. Durning hard acceleration, the PCV valve closes (to prevent explosion of fumes in crank case and blowing valve covers and pan off) and the PCV system reverses, with fumes coming back through the filtered intake.

Usually there is minimal oil that gets back into the air cleaner.

So, when somthing goes wrong, like excessive blow by, for example, the crankcase pressure overcomes the PCV valve and intake of fumes capability, and oily starts showing up in the air filter.

Investigate the crankcase pressure and PCV system.

How do i burp the air out of my gas 1997

oil in the air filter is caused by one of 3 things, excessive oil level in the crankcase or excessive engine cylinder leakage causing to much back pressure and blowing the oil up the and into the crankcase vent hose, this same condition can also be caused by a plugged Positive Crankcase vent system valve. (PCV for short)

Oil leaking everywhere air cleaner full of oil seems to be blowing up thru carbie still runs but oil loss cant be good.......Kevin

its called blow by.you have compression leaking past the rings, which is pressurizing the oil and the pcv system which burns crankcase fumes,is now putting oil into the carb.put a filter that is not too restrictive in front so the air,not oil goes in the carb.eventually the oil will gum up the system.in the 60s the engines had braether caps and did not reburn the crankcase fumes.

Engine is over heating and blowing air into coolant resivor and boiling coolant

The blowing of air into the coolant resevour is caused by a leaking head gasket. What's happening is the cylinder is blowing air into the cooling system causing this to happen.
