The large nut that holds the clutch to the hub is reverse threads, act like you are tightening to actually loosen and vise a verse.

How do i replace fan cluch

The fan and shroud is a unit so easiest way is to remove the top radiator hose and radiator support brace. Don't forget to disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the fan clutch. Good luck

On acceleration, the fan blade hits the shroud. You can move the fan and shaft slightly by hand

You should see a fan cluch behind the fan blade before the water pump. The inner bearing went bad and needs to be replaced. If not it can break off and go into your radiator

hi,first off you have to remove the acc. drive belts, ac,alt.,pwr str belt etc.but loosen up the 4 bolts that hold the fan to the water pump.then remove any brackets 4 bolts hold the water pump in place and remove water hoses before removing pump bolts. clean and replace gaskets and pump reinstall all parts and added coolant .also you may want to replace thermostat.

Cooling fans must work with a/c on.With a/c turned on check voltage at fan motor plug.If no voltage have to back trace to fuse for fans or relay's,but I have replaced a few fan module's for this problem.

Need to replace fan cluch

the radiator fan is mounted to the clutch, in other words remove the bolts / nuts that is holding the fan assembly to the water pump usually just four nuts once you pull the fan assembly the part that yo seperated from the water pump is the clutch, now remove the fan blades and mount thm on the new clutch assembly the piece which mounts tt the water ump is the fan clutch

I like to know how to take off a cluch and motor fan and a z71

clutch and fan assembly are connected to the pump with four bolts. Have someone push down on the drivebelt so the pump pulley won't turn and break each bolt free, then remove the bolts.
