Does the starter "click" when you turn the key ? if so, wack the starter with a wrench or hammer and try again. it's a temporary fix and you may need a new starter in the end.

Seems to be a prob with the starter motor itself.

Engine cranks but doesn't start. Guess there is no fuel for the injectors. Injectors checked, new spark plugs, car has 170K miles.

Is there a fuse for the fuel pump? I'd start there. Then check the wiring for continuity(broken wire).

Truck wont start

It could be the fender mounted starter relay under the hood. Or if you took off the small wire at that relay (its from the ignition switch), it should have voltage when the key is held in start. If it does have power in start, probably the relay. If no power in start, either the switch or the neutral safety switch is acting up.

Engine wont turn over and no lights with key in accesory position

What about with the key in the on position -do the warning lights and gauges turn on? That would mean the ignition switch has power and can turn on.
Any theft alarm activated, immobilizing the car?
Won't turn over- you mean won't start or the starter won't spin the engine over? If it won't start, ignition spark or fuel problem. If the engine won't crank, problem is in the start circuit- from battery to starter, and from battery to ignition switch to starter. Park/neutral safety switch is in circuit between key switch and starter.

My '97 Geo Metro LSi will not start. When I turn the ignition key on the buzzer, idiot lights, lights, horn, etc., everything electrical will work. If I turn ignition key to start, there is absolutely no...

It could be the starter, test the small wire going to the starter, it should have power when turning the key to start/crank. If it does, and the starter will not crank the engine, whack it with a hammer, if it then starts, replace the starter. If there is no power to the starter, then it could be the ignition switch, or the neutral switch, or a fuse/link blown.

When I insert key to start the car it will not turn at all. What is this part called?

The component is a starter. When you insert your key into the ignition and turn it, you switch on the power to the coil and vehicle computers. By turning the key to the start position it will supply power to the starter and solenoid which cranks the engine until you release the key allowing to return to the ignition on position. If the battery is weak the starter solenoid may engage producing a clicking sound, but it will not crank the engine. Another test is to turn on the dome light and try to start the vehicle, if you see the dome light dim when you are trying to start the car the battery is weak or the starter has a short. Starters are temperamental at times and can be intermittent working sometimes and malfunction other times. Your ignition switch, fuse, or relay could also produce symptoms of your vehicle not cranking.

Not Starting

This is gonna be a lenghty diagonsis. Forget about the check engine light for a moment. What do we have : a)Crank no start, b)No crank , c)Starter clicks,d) no clicking . How many miles does the vehicle have? How old is the battery? What condition are the battery cables and starter wires in? The relay, can you find it ? If you can how does its terminals look? Last the ignition switch. Usually this is the culprit with high milage vehicles especially if the key chain the vehicle's key is on looks like that of a jailer's. As you answer all of these questions you will get more clues to the answer . Need the answers to the questions to give you the correct testing procedures. keep me posted we'll get to the bottom of it.

2002 Tahoe engine will not start

Electrical problems are difficult to diagnose in person without testing ...however, it seems that you may be loosing the body ground, causing power loss to the clock and likely the computer as well. As the starter is able to turn the engine, likely there is no problem with engine grounding. While cranking, the accessory side of the ignition switch should remain "hot" otherwise you would loose the clock every time you started it up. If it's not a ground problem, I'd look at the ignition switch itself to make sure it's not dropping power to ignition system while starter is engaged. on some vehicles this can also happen at the starter relay if an ignition bypass is used to provide hotter starting spark.

1994 vw jetta no fuel and ignition

It sounds like you may need an ignition contact block. It turns everything on. If all the idiot lights come on when you turn the key to on. Then move the key to start the engine. Note the engine can turn over but no ignition power or fuel can be do to the contacts in the block. Take notice if the idiot lights stay on, or turns off when you crank the engine to start. The lights should stay on.
The contact block is not an easy fix and can take a few hours. The procedures are found online. Steve
