I have the same problem like yours but what i did is to replace the alternator and now its so quite no more high pitched sound. You may used belt stress fluid but its only last for few seconds then sound comes again. I replaced it with refurbish part alternator. My sienna 2005.

Is it full of gear lube? Could be pinion bearing, carrier bearing, axle bearing and/or a bad ring gear and pinion. Because I don't know what the problem is I can't tell you if it's safe to drive. It's very likely the longer you drive it the more damage you'll do.

Your cooling system is not working properly. You should have this looked at immediately. Could be a stuck thermostat. Is your engine temp running hot?
