Pull both battery cables off the battery for about 10 minutes. This will reset the codes. But if you have a problem it will come back.

Have a 2002 Jag w/ 84,000 - engine light light on - code p1000 ( stopped at advanced auto ) - emissions ( converter ) there are 4 or 5 sensors - parts guy at a dealership mentioned that p1000 is a general...

P1000 normally is shown after the engine management light is reset.
When the light is on you should see other codes that will indicate which sensor(s) are faulty.
Most good mechanics have the equipment to read these codes and can give you a list (there may be multiple codes)
If you check out http://www.bluejag.co.uk you will find further information on this subject.

Need to know how clear trouble codes on97 jag xj6

I think you can buy a code reader from most any parts store for $40-60 and use it to find and reset the codes in your Jag. Good luck!

Looking for the radio code for a 1989 Jaguar

You can only get the code from a Jag dealer - you'll have to prove you own the vehicle. You need the VIN and possibly the sale documents to prove it's your car.

95 jag problem diagnostic code is p1621 anybody know

The code means the engine control module imobilisation function is active.
can you describe what the car is doing and after you scanned the code did you try to reset it?
If so and there is no difference it may be a dealer reset only and you may have a bad ecu (water ingress?)

Code for radio

I have the same exact car and when I had to replace my battery I had to reset radio code also. Fortunately, I have the code card, but I didn't know that at first and I typed in a random code, and then it kind of "froze" it saying Searching for code or something to that sort. I called a Jag 800 number (any Jag 800 should be fine) and they told me the steps and my code, you will probably need a VIN #.
