Indicator not working on dashboard

Hi everyone,

My problem is that my indicator stick doesnt seem to be working with my dashboard. when i go to indicate or put on high beam, the indicators do work and so does the high beam but this is not displayed on the dashboard. is there some sort of switch that might be faulty in the indicator stick?

thanks!

Hi, my bmw 328 ci (2000) seems to have a mind of its own. The headlights come on even when switched off, the abs light comes on sometimes, the hand break light stays on even when it shouldn't, the key needs resetting every few days and the boot lock button has stopped working on the key and the fob! When indicating left or right, the lights flash as they should but its not displayed on the dash! I have chucked a new battery in and tested the volts while not running (which was spot on), while idling (13.5v) and when rev'd (14.15) which I am told all seems normal. I did this as I was told it may be the alternator. Please help!

Check in this order. Fuse(s). If not working, then the dashboard lighting should be next. Remove it and check for a blown light bulb(s) and replace accordingly. If problem persists, then you probably have a short and it will require further investigation, but it souds simple and fixable with ease for now. Let me know how things work out.

1999 Toyota Camry . Low beams work, but no high beam.

I would guess the switch on the steering column
is worn out, thus no high beam feature

That switch & that part of the lighting system has to be tested

Best if you have wiring diagrams & electrical skills

As with almost all folks that come to any web site, I assume
everyone ends up at a repair shop, because no one says otherwise
