Question about 1998 Chevrolet Malibu
1-2-3 WHENT WHEN RESISTOR BURNT OUT
4 ON A RELAY COULD ALSO BE BURNT
5 ALSO ON RELAY THAT COULD ALSO BE BURNT
I ASSUMED THAT THE HEATER FUSE IS OK (CHECH PLEASE)
IF ALL OF THIS IS BURNING UP THE BLOWER MOTOR COULD BE FAULTY
OR THE SPEED SWITCH COULD BE THE CAUSE
LOAD TEST THE MOTOR ON IT'S OWN TO SEE IF OVERDRAWS EXIST
IF NOT CHECK OR REPLACE THE SWITCH
THE RESISTOR ARE KNOWN TO GO
BUT USUALLY THE RELAYS ARE GOOD AND STRONG
THE RESISTOR WOULD BE CLOSE TO BLOWER MOTOR
AND MOST RELAYS ON TOP OF AIR DUCK BEHIND GLOVE BOX
GOOD LUCK

There are two fuse boxes. A baqttery junction box under the hood on the drivers side and one inside on drivers side. Good luck.
