Well, a lot depends on your ability to do mechanical things. It also depends on whether you have the proper equipment or not. A timing belt on a Sebring is one of the toughest timing belts out there. It is no walk in the park for a seasoned technician. If the belt is broken, the job just got about 100 times harder to do...

ALL of the engines used in Sebrings in 2004 are "interference engines" meaning that if the timing belt broke while the engine was cranking over or running, there is most likely engine damage resulting from the pistons hitting the valves. The camshafts should be removed and a cylinder leakage test performed before replacing the timing belt. This test will identify any valves that may be bent. The cylinder head (or heads) will have to be removed to repair any of this type of damage. Then again, you might get lucky. The test will tell. I wouldn't even attempt to put a timing belt on one of those engines without doing the leak test FIRST if the belt is broken.

P.S. The headder on your question page said "2004" and your actual question says "2003" - it does not matter...the same applies for both years.

If the camshft drive belt came off the engine while it was running you will have bent valves, this is due to the fact that this is what is called an "Interference" design engine, this means when the valve timing is off the valves hit the pistons. So if you can do a valve job then yes you can do the repair.

Driving and the timing belt broke can i just replace the belt? 2003 chrysler 300m

If the timing belt broke, than you heard a big banging noise from your engine and that is it, your valves met with pistons and they are more than likely to be bend, unfortunately this situation calls for engine recondition. But are you sure the belt broke as some of these 300M's were on a chain drive.

I have a 2003 Seibring Convertible Limited (V6) (VIN 1C3EL65R93N558156) and a problems that not even chrysler has been able to diagnos! After the car warms up a bit, at all engine speeds feels like...

before you spend any more money remove and clean any ground connections yu can find, there are quite a few, my guess is that you have one that is just barely making contact and losing touch just enough that the engine vibration allows it to contact again

On my seibring convertible where the milage reading is is says deck rather than the milage why

I have this same vehicle and model. "Deck" refers to the trunk being ajar. The sensors seem to be fairly finicky and sensitive. I have no answer, however, as to why "deck" appears even when the trunk seems to be closed.

The timing belt belt broke on my daughters 2003 PT Cruiser> I changed it but now the car won't even attempt to start. A chrysler mechanic timed and ansalled the belt.

did they checked if the valves are alright on your cylinder head? i dont know if this model in particular has that design but a lot of cars that lose timing on the distribuition get their valves bent by the piston head when the timing is lost.
hope this helps?

It sounds like your blower motor wheel is off, or broken. You will need a new wheel at minimum, probably should do motor at the same time since you are already there.
