All my gauges and even speedometer and odometer have stopped working on my 2001 crown victoria. Any advise? The kick panel above the brake pedal is loose and every now and then if I push up on the loose plate the gauges will respond momentarily but I cant find any loose or or disconnected wires.

Sounds like an ignition switch issue. Radio out too? try rotating key back & forth a little when it's happening. report results.

Above the noise damper panel is you LCM, lighting control module. above steering column. But I don't think it affects gages & speedo.

The lighting control module (LCM) is a microprocessor based module that controls several vehicle subsystems. The LCM responds to electrical input signals from various switches, sensors, and external modules. The LCM is located under the LH side of the instrument panel. Subsystem functions of the LCM include headlamps with autolamps, turn signal lamps/hazard flasher lamps, cornering lamps, parking lamps, courtesy lamps, demand lamps, battery saver and control backlighting.

If you can kick the panel and it work, then there is a loose connection somewhere. Start at the fuse block and make sure you have a good connection there, then move forward.

Where where do i find the fuse for the speedometer on a 2001 Crown Vic

There are three fuse's for the instrument cluster , all located in the central junction box (fuse panel ) inside the vehicle ,under the dash !
Fuse # 14 a 10 amp , fuse # 23 15amp. and #6 15amp . Look behind right and left kick panel . But i don't think this is a fuse problem , gauge itself could be bad .

Check your brake lights, if they don\'t work the interlocking system will not let you shift from park. If brake lights don\'t work probably the brake lamp switch on the pedal shaft. Check power in and out of switch when stepping on pedal, if nothing coming out, swi

1992 crown victoria speedometer works odometer does not work .

This is an internal issue and the speedometer must be removed and repaired. There are people who still do this and can rebuild your old unit. Look in your area or there may be places to ship it to. Local salavage yards may have it if down time is an issue. Be sure to save the receipt in the car so that actuall mileage can be verified.

Speedometer runs but odometer dont; on 1993 Crown Victoria

Sounds like the speedometer head itself has failed or is in the process of doing so. While it may be possible to obtain just a speedometer head it would be far easier and probably cheaper to go down to the local salvage yard and get yourself a whole new instrument cluster. Many times they will come with instructions for resetting the mileage to match your car, if it doesn't, just attach a drill to the connection point for the speedometer cable and run the drill until it has the right mileage.
