I have the same car & all the factory manuals

Your going to have to be more specific on the
name of the part

Dual Coolant Control Valve -- not part of the A/C
but does fail eventually

You can see it down a little under the A/C
Receiver Drier

It has 3 spring hoses clamps & 1 screw holding
it on

The problem ---you can't get your hands in there

I watched a tech at a lincoln dealer doing one
Didn't look easy

I have the same problem on my 2004 Lincoln LS. Ford place told me, I need a RELAY HEAT VALVE. 450.00. I'm going to have them do it cause my motor is completely covered up. It be worth it just to have a/c again.

Will a 2000 lincoln ls rack and pinion fit on a 2004 lincoln ls? Does it matter if it's v6 or v8? I have a 2004 lincoln ls 3.9 liter v8 and need a rack and pinion. Somebody please HELP.

engine size is immaterial when it comes to steering
what matters is body length, mounting positions and methods, tie rod lengths , position of pinion , method f attaching steering shaft
best if you go to a wreckers and view both steering assemblies side by side to check any differences
or you can pull both out and interchange or you can go to a dealer spares and see if the boxes have the same part numbers
or you can ring a steering specialist shop and ask if there is any differences

Pcv 2004 lincoln ls 3.9l where

The 3.9 L V8 Lincoln LS does not have a PCV valve. There is a tube on the drivers side of the engine that goes from the valve cover/crank case to the air intake and this is what performs the crankcase ventilation. There is no valve to change

Pcv 2004 lincoln ls v8 where

For the Lincoln LS V8, there is a flexable tube on the drivers side of the engine that runs from the valve cover/crankcase to the air intake tube. There isnt a PCV valve for this engine, it is just a tube for ventilation.

No heat on my2004 lincoln ls

Thermostat has nothing to do with the heat

You have a coolant control valve down low under
the a/c drier on the passenger side, bolted to the
radiator shroud

I have that car, very complicated vehicle, one of the
most high tech ford has every made

Beside that valve there are several other possiblities,
mostly all electronic

Need the experience & all the diagnostic manuals or
I hate to say it,but maybe a dealer, not many shops will
work on a ford or an LS

My 2004 Lincoln LS rattles each morning when I start it. It usually does not rattle during the day, but it does every once in awhile. Is this a timing chain or tensioner problem? If so, is this...

The V8 LS does have a history of timing chain tensioners bleeding down and causing a rattle as you describe. Make sure the oil filter you are using has a anti drain back valve. New tensioners are very labor intensive to install. Lincoln has no recalls for this problem hopefully you have some extended warranty to help with the cost of this repair.

(Throttle Actuator Control Motor)

You should have about 5 more codes

The oil leak will only cause a COP Coil Misfire---IF,the valve cover O'Ring is leaking oil, onto the spark plug.
If you have a PO304 Code with the check engine MIL Light on,then replace the COP Coil on #4.

A 12 year old could change a coil, on your LS
All you need is a 7mm socket and wrench, for the coil cover and the one coil screw.
I just did one on my 2004 LS V8 in Feb. It was $59.00 at the local auto parts store
I don't dislike dealers, there is just no reason to go there ,except to buy parts, and only when the parts are dealer only.
Any repair shop can work on any vehicle.
If you ever have issues and you will have lots,I have all the shop manuals and wiring diagrams and Emission Diagnostic manual

2004 ls v8 has engine light on abs light on advance trac light on fuel computer data error, engine sensor error, traction control data error, etc engine fail safe mode, and check transmision light was not...

I own the same vehicle and have all the manuals. Give me all the codes the dealer got and all they did since new, in detail. Stop with the dealer. You go to a dealer for 2 reasons only. To buy the vehicle and warrantee work ONLY,unless you have deep pockets.

2004 lincoln ls,v6,no codes,no power when apply the gas pedal.

Did you check fuel pressure? Fuel filter fairly new? Air filter clean and all duct work tight? Battery voltage good when engine is running? Check Throttle Position Sensor for codes and values. Also Ignition coils go bad on these ,as often as you change your socks. TPS is avail on line and auto parts store. You do not have to go to dealer or change entire throttle body, just the sensor,if bad.

You will need a new TPS Sensor,Egr Valve, Ignition Coil or two and a Transmission Solenoid Pack, pretty soon. I have a 2004 V8 L/S. Tough car to troubleshoot and a never ending saga,as is most Fords.
