Question about Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

Hi. can anyone tell me where the battery is on a Mercedes Vito 2002 220 cdi? Thanks in advance (NOT SPRINTER, ITS THE VITO, drop down box doesnt show vito)

    The battery for the vito is under the passenger seat nearest the door. You have to grab the front of the seat and give it a good pull forward then the back of the seat lifts up. If you look under the seat first you will see two hinges at the front under the padding. The seat must be grabbed at the back and pulled up and forward hope this helps, Sean.

It is either under the Windshield Wiper Cover, just forward of the firewall or in the TRUNK of the car.

Could be bad multifunction switch (selector switch on steering column).

Vito 112 cdi is in park with a dead battery we need to move it so we can repair it. how do we get it out of park to tow it?


if the situation is drastic the have the tow truck pick up by the drive wheels . Use a jump battery (Positive to battery positive negative to motor) and shift the gear selector.

Electric windows in mercedes vito stopped working


Fuse has blown out. Check the fuse box under the steering wheel. The plastic cover has the diagram on the back, to see which fuse is for the electric windows.
